Building a City
Established in 1890, The Memphis Builder’s Exchange was located on two floors of The Planter’s Bank Building. With a plan room, offices for members, and a club room, early Memphis Building landmarks were born.
Today, the Memphis Builders Exchange still serves as a vital hub for all professionals in Memphis building trades.
The MBX operates today at 642 Cooper Street and online. It's the perfect place to post new projects out for bid, explore projects to bid, leave online pricing for your services , exchange ideas, connect with mentors, and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow builders.
134 Years later, The Memphis Builders Exchange is still owned and operated solely by our members.

The finest of everything went into the building which is now enjoying a new life.
