The Art of Braising Meats in Italy can be traced back to the 16th Century in the La Marche Region. The recipe for al Potacchio is one of the first recipes that utilizes this cooking method in Italy.

We were lucky enough and honored to land on that list.

** Update on Our Current Status **

Everything that was Lost, can be Replaced!

Here's the latest from Our Little Table!

As most of You are aware, on Tuesday, June 6th, Tavolino MKE was affected by a fire that broke out in one of the neighboring Restaurants that we share our building with.

While Our Space did not experience any Fire, Water or Structural Damage, we did experience severe smoke damage throughout our entire space.

We lost Power + Gas for 8 days. Due to this loss of power, we were forced to throw away all frozen + refrigerated inventory.

Due to this severe smoke damage, we were forced to throw away any equipment, supplies and all exposed dry goods that were affected by the smoke damage. Basically anything that absorbed the smoke damage from the initial fire. Think plastic, cardboard and anything porous in nature.

This all happened in the first 3-4 days following the initial fire.

Since then, we've been dealing with Restoration Companies, Insurance Companies, City Inspectors and Corporate Fire Investigators.

We have had Deodorizing Fans in the Building since last Thursday, unfortunately they have not had the affect we were hoping for.

The main Fire Investigation is not scheduled to occur until next Tuesday + Wednesday. Because of this, all of the debris + smoke affected structure in the neighboring restaurant hasn't been removed. That won't happen until the investigation is completed. Our Insurance Company believes this is the cause for the lingering odor.

What does all this mean for Tavolino MKE?
We're going to have to wait until the restaurant next door has removed all the debris in their space before we're able to start getting everything cleaned up, repainted, ceiling tiles replaced, new equipment in place, etc.

While we don't have a set date for when we can get back into the Building, we are making sure that we have everything in place that will allow us to make that process as short as possible.

We Miss Your Faces.
