In tea, you may use glycine powder, it imparts a touch of sweetness to the teas, supports gut health, calms the nervous system too and may support sleep too!

Be careful with chamomile, nettles or calendula tea though if you have allergies or reactions to plants in the daisy or aster family, including chrysanthemums and ragweed.

Eating too close to bedtime activates the body and disturbs sleep. Plus since the liver is involved in digestion, it can't do its detoxification during our sleep if its resources are being used to digest food.

💊 Originally, naltrexone is used “on label” in higher doses (50mg) to treat opioid and alcohol dependence. But in much smaller doses, typically 1.5 to 4.5 mg per day, it has been making waves in the medical community for its incredible potential as an adjunct treatment to a variety of conditions. Mindful eating isn't just about what we eat but also how we eat that impacts our health and well-being. Here are some simple tips to level up your digestion and eating habits:

1️⃣ Make sure you are chewing thoroughly to ease digestion (your stomach doesn’t have teeth!) and to properly secrete digestive enzymes.
2️⃣ Remove any electronics or distraction while eating. Give yourself time to focus on the nutrition going into your body.
3️⃣ Practice gratitude for your food. This positively affects your mood, which helps your digestion!
4️⃣ Try not to drink too much water before, during and right after the meal to keep your stomach acid levels optimal!
5️⃣ Eat foods you enjoy and savor!

The HPA axis, aka the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, is like your body's stress thermostat. 🌡️ When you're stressed, it kicks into gear, releasing hormones like cortisol to help you cope. But when this system gets thrown off balance, it can lead to a range of issues, from fatigue to anxiety. 😔
