OPCMIA Local 633
We are dedicated to serving cement masons and blockmakers throughout the states of Minnesota, North Dakota and the Northwest area of Wisconsin. Also serving the plasterers outside of the Metro area of Minnesota, all of North Dakota and part of Wisconsin.
Our mission is to provide for our members a unified, strong and enduring trades worker union and secure for us safer jobs with better conditions and benefits. Through our collective bargaining agreement, we negotiate a multi-employer health insurance and pension programs. We strive for a safe, drug free work environment that gets our members home safe and helps Union contractors with controlling their workers’ compensation rates. This helps a Union contractor be more profitable and allows them to be more competitive for all future bidding. In addition, Local 633 helps to promote a living wage and a best value contracting to all private and public groups.
Our union will help us, as craftsmen in a demanding industry, promote the pride and dignity that we, the skilled builders of America, attain from our trade. Union Contractors have the ability to grow their workforce when needed and are assured of qualified, well trained job applicants when they are hiring. Local 633 provides continued education for all members so they will be the best trained workers for the latest techniques and innovations. We also have an aggressive organizing program that assures contractors that there will always be availability of skilled manpower.
