Body models have begun! The Brain is our “master controller” and is the head of the nervous system.

Body unit begins with healthy food activities.

Off we go to preschool for the start of the school year!

It’s Art-A-Whirl weekend in Northeast Minneapolis!
Our Northeast branch will be hosting artists, an author 📖, and pie 🥧 in the courtyard. There will also be a crafting activity for kids by !

Dissecting and analyzing a wasp’s nest as we learn about Wasps and Bees this week.

Creative insect minds at work! Join us this Thurs and watch your kiddo create one themselves at our open house from 5:30-7.

To wrap up our Continent unit, students create a world map by tracing and coloring in the land. Younger kids make a map with crayon rubbing. The fun part is painting in the oceans!

What a day to sing and play outdoors! Kids rocked out a class, built the base of an igloo, experimented with ice structures and made snowballs.

In the classroom in December, we would be talking about peace and learning about our planet.

With all the preschool kiddos in mind, Neighborhood Children’s House is sending the peace ornament kits home.

This year, the preschool graduation mortar boards are all the colors! We usually do all white, and the soon to be kindergartners decorate them and write their name. These days, I guess all the white poster board has been bought up for drive by signs and the like.

May this group of Neighborhood Children’s House kiddos be especially strong and patient with their journey ahead.

We created and played our way through the seven continents!

Children will explore the different countries and cultures through art, music, village life dramatic play and going on safari 🐘 🦒 🐒 🦍 🦁
