United Way of Stanislaus County
The core of our Mission is to inspire unity and empower our community, and we accomplish this by leve
BUILD β We offer organizational support for nonprofits to ensure they are able to make the greatest impact with their essential services. ENGAGE β We connect people who want to do good in the community to nonprofits and individuals who need help, through projects such as food deliveries for elementary students and seniors. INVEST β We invest in our community by providing much needed funding to hundreds of nonprofits.
It was an honor to once again partner with Stanislaus County Department of Child Support Services and First 5 Stanislaus for their Kids Connect Community Celebration at Modesto Junior College this month! π
Thanks to another partnership with Second Harvest of the Greater Valley, we were able to give out 100 bags of food to families who stopped by.
1,200 grateful kids received a brand new backpack and school supplies. So many excitedly showed off their new backpacks when they stopped by our booth. These kids are ready for school, one step ahead, with the backpack and school supplies donated. βοΈπππ
Thank you to our partners and our community for bringing this event to life once again and impacting so many lives!
ππ§ πMinority Mental Health Awareness Month arrives every July. This month has been a powerful reminder of the unique mental health challenges faced by minority groups and the importance of ensuring that everyone has access to the support and resources they need.
To continue making a difference, keep spreading awareness about minority mental health issues, support local mental health resources, promote open conversations to break down stigma, and advocate for equitable care for all.
Thank you for joining us in raising awareness and supporting mental health in our diverse community. Your engagement and advocacy are vital in making a lasting impact. Letβs carry the spirit of Minority Mental Health Awareness Month forward and continue to work towards a more inclusive and supportive environment for all. ππ
As we approach the end of Disability Pride Month, we want to take a moment to reflect and celebrate the vibrant and diverse disability community. π
This month has been a powerful reminder of the strength, resilience, and achievements of individuals with disabilities. Itβs also highlighted the ongoing need for inclusion and accessibility in every facet of our lives.
πHereβs how you can continue to make an impact:
1. Share Stories and Achievements
So much can be learned from the inspiring stories and accomplishments of individuals with disabilities. Keep amplifying these voices and celebrating their contributions year-round!
2. Advocate for Accessibility
From promoting accessible spaces to supporting local initiatives, collective efforts pave the way for a more inclusive community. Letβs keep the momentum going!
3. Educate and Inspired
Whether through events, workshops, or conversations, seek disabled-focused learning opportunities. Continue seeking knowledge and advocating for positive change.
4. Commit to Inclusion
The commitment to accessibility and inclusion doesnβt end with the month. Let's carry these values forward and strive to make our community a place where everyone feels valued and empowered.

Do you know how to have the correct amount of tax withheld throughout the year?
Our friends at the IRS wanted us to share this with you!
To avoid a surprise next year, taxpayers should make changes now to their tax withholding. The Tax Withholding Estimator tool below can help taxpayers determine if their employer is withholding the right amount. Taxpayers can use the results from the Tax Withholding Estimator to complete a new Form W-4, Employee's Withholding Certificate, and submit it to their employer as soon as possible. Withholding takes place throughout the year, so it's better to take this step as soon as possible.
