Stanislaus County PAL
Established in 1992 Stanislaus County PAL is a Juvenile Crime Prevention Program providing services to youth in Stanislaus County.
This program was founded in 1992 through the efforts of Martin G. Peterson, former Superintendent of the Stanislaus County Office of Education, and former Stanislaus County Sheriff Les Weidman. At present Stanislaus County PAL serves many young people in the unincorporated areas of our county. We currently have sites in Westley, Grayson, Keyes, Empire, Waterford, Oakdale, and Modesto where we operate a total of 23 sites throughout Stanislaus County.
We are proud of the Explorers who competed this weekend at the Stockton Police Explorer Competition which is scenario based. We couldn’t be more proud of our very own Explorer Torres who participated in this event. Explorer Torres was introduced to the Sheriff’s Explorer program through our Deputy Director and now he is gaining knowledge and experience in a career in law enforcement. We love to see our kids grow and we are always here to help our youth! Explorer Torres keep making Keyes Center and the rest of our PAL KIDS proud!
A big thank you to Deputy Torres and Deputy Evans for a wonderful career day at Burbank elementary. The students were already asking for their return. PAL and the sheriff’s department are here to transform our youth into productive members of society!
