Club teens at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Stanislaus County had a blast learning some basic cooking skills, making delicious dishes, and creating healthy habits. From chopping veggies to baking treats, these young chefs are cooking up a storm! 🍲🥗

🎉 We are excited for the return of the Youth of Year program! 🎉

Our Savage Middle School Club is preparing with Youth of Month, and last week two finalist were chosen to share their presentations on why the should have of end of the school year Water Day—and they nailed it! 🌊💦

Their passion, creativity, and teamwork paid off, and their Club had an epic Water Day celebration!

The Slime Trend is back, our club members dived into the gooey, glittery world of SLIME MAKING! 🤩👩‍🔬👨‍🔬

From mixing mesmerizing colors to stretching and squishing their unique creations, the kids had an absolute blast! 🌈🖐️ The room was filled with laughter, creativity, and a whole lot of slime!

Huge thanks to our amazing staff for organizing this fun, hands-on activity that promotes creativity and scientific curiosity. 🌟👏 And of course, a big shoutout to our incredible club members for their enthusiasm and imagination!🌟💙

Last week Assembly Member Juan Alaniz toured the Boys & Girls Clubs of Stanislaus County’s teen center, The Club. The Club is a space within the Boys & Girls Clubs created especially for teens - club membership is open for enrollment and availalbe for 6th-12th grade students.

During the tour, our President and CEO, Craig Orona not only shared the resources and activities that are currently available at The Club, including a maker’s space with access to a 3-D printer, he shared plans to renovate the outside into a dynamic and engaging recreational space for our Club Kids. Craig also talked about the importance of collaboration, and our valuable partnership with First Tee.

On February 1st the MM&HS will continue our series on the history of education in Stanislaus County as we celebrate the release of our Stanislaus County history textbook for third graders, ‘StaniStory.’

For this installment we are recording the stories of members of an exclusive club: the living individuals for whom a local school is named. Today, we had the pleasure to unite Mary Lou Dieterich, Mary Ann Sanders, and Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Ustach.
