FAREWELL FRIENDS
These two guests passed away recently in unrelated situations. They were longtime regulars.

For a while, Joe offered to cut hair at VH for any man who needed it. He loved his Pepsi and was quick with a smile.

Catfish was an onery soul but he loved conversation and would often take a plate of food to a friend in the park who was unable to walk to Vine House.

These two men are precious to the Lord and will be missed. We are grateful to know they talked of Jesus… and so we continue to share the saving grace of Christ as we love on our other guests.

We rented a shave ice truck and gave out over 150 cups to our grateful guests and the community in the 100+ degree day.

It is so very hot but easier in the moment with a treat in your hands.

Please pray for our brothers, sisters, friends, relatives, fellow human beings and their pets living in this rain and wind. May they know the warmth of some kind of shelter and friendship. Jesus hear our prayer.

This is our brother Perman. He lives at the cement tables in the park near Vine House with several friends and their pets.
He also attends Bible Study and brings a ready smile to our cafe window.
