Victory post!!!

I’m so excited for my latest client. She has battled numerous health complications for years. She spent several days at a time in bed. Her muscles were weak with fatigue. And she was just constantly not well. Tomorrow is her 3rd week on the program and she has lost 10 lbs. She was so skeptical about the program and whether it was worth doing. I had to convince her and her husband it was worth the money. Now, her husband is telling her that it is worth every penny for her to have the energy she has now. She still has health issues that requires rest but she is no longer spending days in bed. She’s up cooking, cleaning, walking, and enjoying life again. I’m 3 weeks, she has gained so much of her life back. Congratulations!!! I’m so happy for you and anxious to see where this program leads you!

The best way to move forward is to break things into small achievable steps and to only focus on 1-2 steps ahead of you.

Cowgirl Salad

Meat
2 Chicken breast, free range halves

Produce
2 Avocados
2 Bell peppers, red yellow or orange
1 540 ml can Black beans
1 cup Corn
2 cloves Garlic
1 tsp Lime, zest
1 Lime
1/2 cup Medjool dates, pitted
1/4 cup Peanuts, roasted
1/4 cup Red onion
2 heads Romaine lettuce

Refrigerated
1 350 g. package Tofu, extra firm

Condiments
2 tsp Honey or maple syrup
3 tbsp Lime juice
3 tbsp Peanut butter, natural smooth
1 1/2 tbsp Soy sauce

Baking & Spices
1 tbsp Cajun spice mix
3/4 cup Olive oil or avocado oil, extra virgin
1 tsp Salt

Oils & Vinegars
1 Avocado oil or olive oil

Snacks
1 Tortilla chips

Dairy
1/3 cup Feta or vegan feta

We have become so accustomed to altered food that as a society, we have forgotten what healthy food actually is. Whole food does not need an ingredient label because it is the only ingredient. When buying food, if you have to get manufactured food, look at the label and try to find something with simple ingredients that is limited on all the additives. Look at the nutritional guide and make sure that it meets your needs. We worry so much about toxicity in our atmosphere, in the ground, in the water, yet we buy food willingly that is toxic to our bodies. This is proven by the surplus of diseases, inflammation in our systems, allergies, anxiety, depression. These could all be caused by what we consume. So be vigilant and aware of what you consume!

This is something I need to work more on right now. As my dreams are actualizing, my stress is rising and things are becoming less fun. It is okay to take a step back from things when you can and recharge and reframe.

Part of the healthy habit system is keeping your mental health in-line. Since, your mental health has a huge impact on your overall general health, it is critical to have check ins on your mental health.

For me, this will look like stepping back from some of my extra tasks, allowing myself to stay in the dream phase a little longer, and resting more. It will also be me doing more of what brings joy and evaluating what stresses me out. The things that are in my control are what I work on and things out of my control is what I try to let go of.

I remember the person on the left very clearly, it was my best friend/old roommates birthday and I hadn’t seen her in years. I desperately wanted to go see her but I didn’t want her to see me like this. Fat, puffy, self loathing, and depressed. Even though, I knew she would love me regardless, and even though I missed her dearly, I dreaded it. I felt like complete strangers were judging me, like they knew how low I was.

I wish more than anything, that I would have made the change then. That I would have decided to love myself then. I’m so glad I am where I am, but I always think about that person on the left and how this program could have saved her then.

Decide today to love yourself and make the change. If you know of anyone that could benefit from my coaching services, please reach out to me. We could be saving their lives.

This!! Get in and dig deep into shadow work. And do this for all aspects of your life and not just your relationships with food and exercise. Really knowing yourself will help you heal, gives you an advantage in society, and helps you develop healthy coping skills.

Try journaling, meditation, seek out a therapist, become artistic, and just talk to yourself from time to time.

Self respect, self love, and self care are all ways you show your body that you love and respect it. Taking care of your body is a relationship that is more than physical. Once you have live and gratitude for your body, you unlock so much more meaning and life. You are more likely to live a life others respect, you are more likely to find enjoyment and meaning in life, and you lead others by example.
