Famille Bourgeois, A New Look ✨

Famille Bourgeois, a historic estate in Chavignol, Sancerre, has been a beacon of winemaking for over 10 generations, with its wines contributing to the global recognition of the Sancerre appellation. The Bourgeois family, stewards of age-old winemaking traditions, have recently completed the organic conversion of their 72ha vineyards spread across Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé, making the 2023 vintage their first 100% organic one. In celebration of this milestone and to reaffirm their commitment to tradition, precision, and love for terroir, they have unveiled a new logo, labels, and a redesigned brand identity. This rebranding signifies not just a visual transformation, but also underscores the estate's unique positioning and its continued dedication to enhancing the terroirs of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé.

Highlighted here are the Sancerre Pinot Noir Rosé and the Sancerre Blanc, with the latter earning recognition for its 90-point score from James Suckling. It is described as a vibrant and well-crafted white wine, exuding aromas of white peaches, sliced pears, apples, and subtle spices. It boasts a medium body complemented by a refreshing acidity, offering a crisp and delightful experience. Its mineral undertones lead to a juicy finish.

Passion. Patience. Place.

We are proud to welcome Appassionata Estate into our Portfolio! Established in 2010, Appassionata is the culmination of renowned German winemaker Ernst “Erni” Loosen’s vision of establishing a high-end, European-style winery and vineyard in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Rooted in Old World traditions, the winery is dedicated to crafting exquisitely expressive Pinot Noirs and white wines with extraordinary ageability. Driven by Erni’s belief that the true character and complexity of a wine doesn’t emerge until it has developed maturity, Appassionata Estate holds its wines for up to 10 years, ensuring they are ready to enjoy upon release.

From the start of his time in Oregon, Erni’s expectation was to craft the best possible wine, no holds barred. Even while starting with J. Christopher in 2005, Erni kept his vision moving and purchased a separate 40-acre property in Chehalem Mountains in 2009 and planted the Appassionata vineyard (some of you will remember the J. Christopher Appassionata which was a top bottling).

The idea was not just to produce top of the world Pinot Noir & Chardonnay that will last decades, but to hold and age them at the winery for a longer period and release only when the drinking window starts to develop. To have patience and let the wines develop both in barrel and in bottle which will only then start to show their true greatness. We’re trilled to partner with Erni and Appassionata and offer the market a top-tier wine that is a bit more developed.

100% Estate-grown✔️ Certified Organic✔️ Women-led✔️ Cheers to Vin El Cep! 🥂

Winegrowers since 1448, Vins el Cep (roughly translates to wines from the vineyard) epitomizes the concept of "grower" sparkling wine. Vins el Cep was the pioneering producer of organic and biodynamically farmed sparkling wine in Spain. Today, the winery produces wine exclusively from estate owned vineyards - not a single berry or liter of purchased must or wine enters the cellar every year. In contrast, Vins el Cep is extremely strict with their selection and sells several thousand liters a year in bulk to large, commercial Cava producers when quality is not to their standards. Maite Esteve, the matriarch of the company, is the paradigm of the concept of a vigneron. She is a grape grower, winemaker, CFO, label designer, marketer, director of sales, etc. Gelida Brut Gran Reserva is the flagship wine of Vins el Cep, and beautifully marries the richness of extended in-bottle ageing with the clean, lifted, and linear style of the wines from this pioneering sparkling wine producer.

JUST IN! Check out the newest addition to Vin El Cep in our portfolio, the 'PNT NR' Pét Nat of Pinot Noir!
Produced from 100% estate grown, certified organic vineyards of Pinot Noir that are gently pressed and begin spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel. The must is transferred to bottle while still fermenting. In the following winter, the wine is disgorged to remove the gross lees and recapped without dosage or any additions such as bentonite or other clarifiers. Certified organic & vegan. Total SO2

Uniting 3 States into 1 Wine! 🇺🇸🍷 This Fourth of July, we celebrate strength through unity with the Obsidian ‘Triple Junction’ Volcanic Red, a unique blend sourced from three volcanic vineyards across the West Coast.

A testament to the power of plate tectonics, the 2022 Triple Junction showcases the distinct volcanic terroirs of California, Washington, and Oregon; each contributing a unique character to the blend. The wine's birthplace is Obsidian's Estate Vineyard in the Mayacamas Range of California, planted on a volcanic shield that last erupted 10,000 years ago. The blend includes Cabernet Sauvignon from this estate, lending structure to the wine. The journey then takes us north to the fractured basaltic soils of Red Mountain in Washington, where the Malbec adds dense, rich, round fruit flavors. Finally, we arrive in Echo, Oregon, where Tempranillo grown on steep slopes of volcanic ash weaves in spice and savory character. Aged for 12 months in oak barrels made in Hungary derived from trees grown in volcanic soils, this wine tells a cohesive story of high, dry slopes, and the intensity, structure, and acidity born from vines grown on the side of a volcano. It's a true celebration of the volcanic minerality and freshness that runs through the wines from all three sources.

Doug Margerum, a pivotal figure in the Santa Barbara 🌴 wine scene for over three decades, established the Margerum Wine Company in 2001, emphasizing handcrafted and limited production winemaking. The company, known for its limited production of high-quality wines, operates from an 18-acre Estate Vineyard dedicated to Rhône varietals and a state-of-the-art winery in Buellton. Doug's influence and knowledge have made him a sought-after consultant for various wine brands, both locally and internationally. These two newly released vintages of Estate Syrah and "D" Sauvignon Blanc are quintessential expressions of Margerum.

The 2022 Estate Syrah from the Los Olivos District is truly exceptional and unique, a testament to the distinct growing conditions of 2022. The season began with ideal conditions in Santa Barbara County, with mild summer temperatures that were abruptly followed by a Labor Day heat wave and subsequent rain. Despite these challenges and slightly below-average yields, the quality of the wines produced was remarkable. The wine matured for 10 months in a mix of old and new Ermitage barrels, with 50% of the grapes fermented as whole-cluster. This process resulted in a rich, full-bodied Syrah with a refined finish, loaded with flavors of dark berry fruits, dark chocolate, and dried herbs. This new release truly showcases the quality and potential of the hillside Estate vineyard.

The 2023 Margerum “D” Sauvignon Blanc, from the Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara AVA, stands out due to its long and slow harvest, resulting in grapes of exceptional quality. The wine underwent barrel fermentation in elongated Ermitage “Cigar” pipes, enhancing the lees contact. "D" stands for the legendary Pouilly-sur-Loire Winemaker, Didier Dagueneau, who also made barrel-fermented Sauvignon Blanc. Aged for 8 months with battonage in a cold cellar, it presents a vibrant expression of Sauvignon Blanc with citrus fruits, savory elements, and integrated oak nuances. The 2023 vintage is a structured, serious example of higher tier Sauvignon Blanc.

Lambrusco is one of the most underrated wines in Italy today! 🍷🍇 Granted, we’re not speaking of the ocean of mass-produced Lambrusco that hails from the alluvial plains of the Po Valley and is made in large industrial wineries. Instead, the Emilia portion of the region has a lot to offer wine lovers. Emilia is experiencing a surge in high-quality Lambrusco produced in styles from Secco (dry) to Amabile (semisweet) and Dolce (sweet). These are artisanal products made in much smaller batches or created using Metodo Classico (Champenois Method). Moreover, they are some of the best food-pairing wines on earth, which makes sense, considering that Emilia is considered to be one of the food capital of Italy.

🍷2019 Vintage Brunello is In!

The 2019 vintage was exceptional due to ideal weather conditions throughout the year. A mild winter and balanced spring promoted healthy vine growth, while the summer's warm days and cool nights were perfect for Sangiovese grapes to mature with intense flavors and preserved acidity. Consequently, the wines from this vintage exhibit remarkable structure, aromatic depth, and potential for aging, distinguishing them as one of the most superior and eagerly awaited in years.

The Piancornello estate, renowned for its volcanic terroir in the southern Montalcino region, is celebrated for its robust Brunello wines. With vineyards thriving on rootstocks selected for drought resilience and high temperatures, the estate's winemaking process is meticulous. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel and cement vats spans roughly 20 days, followed by aging in tonneaux and wooden casks. The 2019 vintage has been highly acclaimed, scoring a 93+ in Vinous, which underscores the wine's exceptional quality.

La Fiorita, established in 1992, has grown from a humble beginning to encompass some of Montalcino's prime Sangiovese vineyards. Since her arrival in 2011, Natalie Oliveros has moved the Estate to an organic certification. Together with her business partner Louis Camilleri they acquired additional vineyards and built a Cantina combining sharp architecture with the proper tools to vinify and age her Brunello. The winery's signature Sangiovese Grosso, sourced from sun-kissed vineyards in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, undergoes fermentation in Slovenian oak vats and matures for 24 months in French oak barrels. Wine Spectator's recent review awarded La Fiorita's Brunello di Montalcino 95 points, highlighting its balance, formidable length, and charming aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and cherry, beautifully interlaced with loam, to***co, and herbs.

We are happy to announce the impending arrival of the new vintage of Muga Prado Enea Gran Reserva, one of the most iconic wines of Rioja and all of Spain!

The 2016 vintage was a fantastic one, balancing all the elements one always wishes for in any given year: elegance, aging potential, acidity, volume and freshness. The scores are also out, with a triple threat of 97s from the Wine Advocate, Wine Enthusiast and James Suckling.

It's with immense pleasure that we welcome Luis Seabra Vinhos to the our portfolio! 🇵🇹🍷
Imported by our friends at Olé & Obrigado, Luis Seabra has been at the center of a cultural shift in Portuguese winemaking, leading a movement of young, independent winemakers making history by reclaiming historical vineyards, grape varieties, and techniques. Seabra’s fundamental understanding of terroir coupled with his philosophy of minimal intervention in the vineyard and winery have launched him into the international eye as a leader of the “New Portugal” renaissance. According to Eric Asimov of The New York Times, Seabra's “making some of Portugal’s most compelling wines, both white and red.”
We can't wait to share these wines with all of you!

💥Fresh Off the Press💥
Ramey Vineyards 2022 Russian River Chardonnay just received 94 points from Wine Spectator!

The 2022 vintage experienced a growing season marked by below-average rainfall, leading to a third consecutive year of drought. Despite the challenges, moderately warm temperatures through July helped acclimatize the vines before heat spikes in mid-August and early September spurred the harvest. The initial quick pace of the harvest slowed significantly after the heat, with the remaining sites hanging for another five weeks until late October. This resulted in low Chardonnay yields for the third year in a row. The winemaking process involved pressing whole clusters for phenolic delicacy, with native-yeast and full native malolactic fermentation taking place in barrel, accompanied by sur lies bâtonnage. After aging for 12 months in 10% new French oak barrels (François Frères), the Chardonnay was traditionally fined for clarity during the following harvest and bottled without filtration in December 2023.

🌼Spring is in full swing and we are thrilled to introduce the 2023 vintage of Domaine de Triennes’ Mediterranean Rosé. Domaine de Triennes is the brainchild of two of Burgundy’s most esteemed names - Jacques Seysses, the founder of Domaine Dujac, and Aubert de Villaine, co-owner of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Over the years, they have transformed this stunning 113.7-acre site into one of Southern France’s top wine estates.

For the 2023 Rosé, the grapes are harvested at night to ensure a cool arrival at the cellar, followed by a few hours of skin contact before pressing. The juice is then fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks until dry, preserving the delicate aromas and flavors.

The vineyards are nestled in Var, a mere 18.6 miles from the Mediterranean, facing south towards the Massif de la Sainte Baume. The cool microclimate, coupled with the clay and limestone soil, contributes to the unique character of the wine.

Triennes is committed to sustainable farming methods to preserve the land’s character and integrity. In addition to their Rosé, Chambers also represents the Sainte Fleur Viognier. This wine strikes a beautiful balance between aromatic richness, crisp acidity, and mineral structure. Certified Organic by EcoCert France, it has been organic since the 2011 vintage. We also carry the Saint Auguste, a blend of the best cuvées of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Full and concentrated, it is also made with organic grapes certified by EcoCert France.

✨New Look✨

After 20 years in Marlborough Valley, combining New Zealand terroir with an old-world approach to farming and winemaking, Clos Henri is moving onto its next chapter with a well-deserved refreshed identity. One that celebrates and honors its individuality and pays tribute to the flora and fauna and ancient geological formations that make Clos Henri singular.⁣

𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄⁣
Though always from Clos Henri’s Estate vineyards, Petit Clos’ vines have aged and matured to a point where they are now able to fully represent the Estate’s vision and potential. Therefore, Petit Clos is now named Clos Henri Estate.⁣

As a result of decades of observation and cultivation, Clos Henri has the intimate knowledge of their terroir to bottle singular expressions from their distinct soils. Paying homage to these unique terroirs and revealing their true character is the ultimate goal of the Bourgeois family. These single vineyard bottlings tell the story of simplicity, elegance, and inspiration.⁣
