Maggie Flavin (SSPP Class of 2021) was the recipient of the Stand-Up Huskie Award for August at Naperville North. This new award will be presented monthly to a student who stands up for others in difficult situations, provides help and/or support to faculty, support staff, and other adults, and demonstrates attributes that contribute to student belonging, acceptance, inclusion, and/or connecting. Maggie is a Student Ambassador who welcomes new students to the building and works with multi-needs students as an Adapted PE Leader. She was recognized for “going out of her way to support students and make them feel welcome to the Huskie family.”

Congratulations, Maggie! We are so proud of you!

Good Luck this season to Lisa Keating, SSPP Class of 2020, who is playing D3 Women’s Volleyball for the Carthage College Firebirds. After coming home undefeated in three games in Minnesota this weekend, the Firebirds have their home opener against UChicago on Wednesday, September 4, at 7 p.m. Let’s go Lisa and the Firebirds!

Good luck this fall to Merryn Schlueter ‘20, who is a member of the D3 Women’s Soccer Team at Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. This weekend the Barons are competing in the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament in Erie, PA. Merryn graduated from Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family and is majoring in Criminal Justice. Let’s go, Merryn!

Naperville North’s Connor Hanrahan is no longer the kid trying to get Jim Konrad’s attention. He earned it. Hanrahan, who first made an impression on Konrad years ago, is a dogged defender and a hardworking captain.
