Art Scapes- a place to explore and play!
I miss art school: Creating art in a place where the creative process is shared and supported. I have always been obsessed with materials and how things are made. Art school offered the opportunity to try new processes and to have access to state of the art equipment.
I opened Art Scapes to recreate the experience of art school for area artists and for members of the public who want to not just see art but to create works of art themselves. As a high school art teacher I have collected a great deal of equipment. I learned to work in many genres of art including painting, sculpture, ceramics, metal, jewelry, wood, textiles and kiln-fired glass.
Art Scapes is a multi-use space that includes a gallery space, classroom, communal and private studio areas, a ceramic/glass studio, woodworking studio, jewelry studio, and textile area.
