🌿 The Hoodwinked Collaborative is proud to unveil the pilot Module on Nature Based Solutions! 📚 This curriculum is now available in PDF form for educators, organizers, and all types of learners to deepen a shared understanding of the threat of Nature-based Solutions vs. real solutions for climate justice. 🌍 ClimateFalseSolutions.org/nbs
This curriculum aims to achieve four main goals:
1️⃣ DECOLONIZE/REVITALIZE: Reclaim and center the knowledge sovereignty of Indigenous, local, grassroots, EJ communities and movements. 🌱
2️⃣ UNSETTLE/SUBVERT: Deliberately demystify, unsettle, and subvert the power and patriarchalism of dominant actors and their status as “experts,” while reclaiming the power of communities to act upon autonomous, collective, and democratic knowledge. 🚫🤯
3️⃣ COLLECTIVELY ACT TO RESIST AND TRANSFORM: Facilitate knowledge sharing spaces, training, and movement building knowledge base for people engaging with or in contested decision making spaces. 🤝✊
4️⃣ EXPAND ACCESSIBLE, PUBLIC, & CRITICAL CLIMATE EDUCATION: Provide a curriculum that is publicly accessible to a broad and diverse range of audiences and learning spaces, and which can be a tool used autonomously for differing purposes and varying types of engagement regarding false versus real climate solutions. 📢🌐
Please share widely! We can’t do this work without you. If you are able to, please make a donation so that we can continue to create accessible curricula on false climate solutions! Upcoming modules include Geoengineering and Nuclear, as well as others forthcoming. If you are interested in learning more, reach out to us at [email protected]. 🌈💚
