We're so excited to announce a collaboration with Chaia, Yiddish techno ("Kleztronica") pioneer. Chaia's music samples archival recordings from Klezmer and Yiddish songs, highlighting recordings that emphasize themes of social justice and underscoring a long history of Jewish activism. With her Kleztronica parties, Chaia creates a community around this history, urging people to embrace radical Jewish traditions.

Now, Chaia brings the spirit of Jewish social justice to the West Coast with a Workers Circle tour. Chaia will host concerts, dance parties, and workshops at community organizations in Seattle, Portland, Eugene, and Los Angeles, bringing the Workers Circle spirit with her (and some of our favorite merch. We would love to see you all there.

Voter ID laws stop millions of Americans from voting. Restrictive ID requirements put in place by many states across the country cause confusion and create unnecessary hurdles - particularly for poor voters, young voters, and voters of color.

Join us tonight for our virtual intergenerational text bank with Vote Riders to inform Florida voters about Voter ID laws in their state and help them get the ID they need. Help make sure that Florida voters have their voices heard. No experience necessary. Come for the text banking, and stay for the community, music, and trivia!

On this day in 1957, President Dwight D. Eisenhower made history by signing the Civil Rights Act of 1957 into law. As the first civil rights legislation passed since the Reconstruction era, it represented a significant milestone in the struggle for equality in the US. The act aimed to protect voting rights by empowering federal prosecutors to take legal action against anyone obstructing a citizen’s right to vote. This landmark legislation paved the way for future civil rights reforms and helped to secure the fundamental right to vote for all Americans.
