On Friday, June 14th, our Resident Engagement team hosted a community togetherness event at our new Twin Parks Terrace to welcome residents to the community, where they met with members of local Bronx-based organizations.

At the event, residents met with members of our Resident Engagement Team, and had the opportunity to register for library cards with the The New York Public Library, learn about entitlements and benefits from NYC DSS, and hear about services and programming provided by BronxWorks and our New Settlement affiliate.

We are delighted to announce that Judy Herbstman, previously Vice President of Real Estate, has been appointed to lead Settlement Housing Fund as its President, effective February 24th. Judy has dedicated the past seven years to building and guiding a dynamic team of housing professionals responsible for the rapid growth of our affordable housing pipeline and stewardship of our existing portfolio. The Board and staff look forward to working with Judy as she broadens her impact on the future of Settlement Housing Fund and affordable housing across New York City.

Our deepest gratitude goes to Alexa Sewell, who departs Settlement Housing Fund after a decade of outstanding leadership and commitment to our mission. We wish her all the best as she begins her new chapter as the Senior Vice President of Multifamily Finance and Development at New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR).
