A military member's loyal companion, Goose, had a critical emergency after swallowing a string that caused an intestinal blockage. This life-threatening situation required emergency surgery, and Goose's family was uncertain they could afford the lifesaving procedure.

Our Apollo's Aid medical assistance program was able to step in and provide emergency assistance to cover Gooses' treatment costs. Today, we're thrilled to share that Goose has made a full recovery! None of this would be possible without our supporters' generosity. Thank you for being a part of Gooses' journey to recovery!

Great news from Oregon! 🐱❤️

Jordan Anderson, a military service member, has been happily reunited with his beloved cat, Boogie. Jordan found Boogie while deployed in the Middle East, and they formed a strong bond before being separated when Jordan returned home to the U.S. Thanks to our Patriot Pets Program, we were able to bring Boogie home, and now they are joyfully together again!

Sign Petition: Stop the bloodbath at the Gadhimai Mela Festival 08/27/2024

Gadhimai Mela is a festival held every five years. Thousands of innocent animals—buffaloes, goats, sheep, and more—are sacrificed in the name of religious beliefs. This year, an estimated 500,000 people are expected to attend, and the scale of animal sacrifice is beyond distressing.

Please help us stop the brutal and inhumane slaughter of thousands of animals at the Gadhimai Mela Festival. Sign the petition now to transform this event into a 'Bloodless Gadhimai': www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/616/726/418/.

We need your help gathering signatures by September 15 to give Nepal ample time to make impactful changes before this year's Gadhimai Mela festival. Your voice can make a difference!

We have another happy story from our partner, Lanta Animal Welfare! 🐾

They found Frida alone on a rubber plantation in Thailand, severely underweight with a large tumor. After two months of weekly chemotherapy and treatment for a blood parasite, she is now cured and ready for a new home. She's a sweet girl, full of wagging tails for everyone!

We are proud to collaborate with Lanta Animal Welfare, who do incredible work helping animals in Thailand and sharing success stories like Frida's!

During his last year on deployment in Iraq, US Army Sgt. Shane Finnegan adopted a cat named CJ through our Patriot Pets program. CJ has been attached to Finnegan's hip since they were reunited. "We survived together," he said. "She became a motivating factor and a morale boost for the unit. All the good and bad stuff we went through. There's an attachment and bond there that you can't get anywhere else."

Wedding Bells and Wagging Tails🐶🎉

The Shakers recently tied the knot and used their wedding as a unique way to give back. Instead of gifts, they asked guests to donate to a cause dear to their hearts: animal welfare. Their guests contributed a remarkable $8,000 to SPCA International. This generous gesture will save numerous animals, providing essential care and support.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to The Shakers and their guests for their kindness and advocacy. Their selfless act sets a beautiful example, encouraging others to commemorate special occasions by making a difference in the lives of animals.

They work tirelessly to address human-wildlife conflicts and provide a sanctuary for over 30 species that can’t be released. We recently provided a Shelter Support grant to help them build rehabilitation enclosures for their rescued Meso-American slider turtles. Thank you, ACES, for your invaluable work in helping animals in your community!

In Turkey, a new law threatens the lives of 4 million stray dogs. This cruel legislation requires all strays to be rounded up and placed in shelters that are already overcrowded, leading to an inevitable mass killing of these innocent animals.

Innocent dogs have already been captured and killed in brutal ways. We need your urgent help to stop this tragedy. Your donation will fund the construction of enclosures to rescue and protect these dogs. It will also support our advocacy efforts to push for humane alternatives, like trap-neuter-release programs, instead of this barbaric culling.

The clock is ticking, and these defenseless dogs are at risk of unbearable suffering and death. Your support can make a difference. Please donate now to save lives and help us stop this inhumane plan.

We're doing everything we can to support our partners in China, like Fast Friends Greyhounds, in rescuing animals from the meat trade, and we will continue to fight for them.

Our partner, Lanta Animal Welfare, provides veterinary care to sick and injured street animals in Krabi and Trang provinces of Thailand.

Sundae is a sweet little kitten found in Koh Phi Phi by a kind tourist who brought her to Lanta's center in Koh Lanta. Sundae tested positive for feline panleukopenia, a very aggressive and often fatal disease. But with the help of their amazing nurses, she received the care she needed and has recovered well. Now, she’s fighting a ringworm infection in their isolation ward. Despite it all, Sundae is happy, full of energy, and loves her food!

We are proud to work alongside Lanta Animal Welfare as they do amazing work helping animals and sharing success stories like Sundae's!

We are happy to announce our new partnership with Katherine Carver and her new book, entitled ABANDONED: Chronicling the Journeys of Once-Forsaken Dogs, which is now available for pre-order, and this book will be released on October 1, 2024.

Striking, emotionally charged, fine art photographs chronicle the lives of approximately 60 once-abandoned dogs, illuminating each one’s journey from a shelter or rescue organization to a loving, permanent home. ABANDONED is a decade-long project inspired by Carver’s own adopted Shetland Sheepdog, Biscuit. This set Carver on her quest to examine the lives of other abandoned dogs. Carver initially met and photographed each dog shortly after they entered a shelter or rescue organization, and then again roughly a year after adoption. The juxtaposition of the “before and after” photographs illustrate the profound benefits of adoption for both dogs and humans alike. Carver hopes this work inspires viewers to consider dog rescue and adoption.

We are the recipient organization receiving a portion of Carver's royalties, earned from the sales of ABANDONED, aligning with our mission, and giving back to our cause, helping dogs in need around the globe.

To learn more and pre-order ABANDONED, please visit http://www.katherinecarver.com/.

Wings of Rescue flies abandoned, homeless, and at-risk pets from overcrowded shelters and disaster areas to shelters, rescues, and fosters with available space. In times of natural disaster, they often use their in-bound planes to deliver humanitarian and veterinarian aid, pet supplies and shelter materials.
