The 26th NYSJFF is proud to announce the North American premiere of 🎬 THE BLONDE BOY FROM THE CASBAH (2024), followed up by an in-person Q&A with the director Alexandre Arcady! 📅 Join us on Monday, June 3, at 8:30 pm, to see Arcady’s latest historical epic, a charming drama starring Marrie Gillain, Patrick Mille, Christian Berkel, Pascal Elbé, Françoise Fabian, and a debut leading breakthrough role by the young Léo Campion.
🎞️The film is an autobiographical piece adapted from Arcady’s novel Le petit blond de la Casbah (2003) on his beloved childhood in Algeria during the country’s civil war in the 1960s.
