D.R.A.G.O.N. would like to welcome the Newport Aquatic Center to the 5th Annual Nevada International Dragon Boat Festival.

The NAC Dragon Boat Team was the first dragon boat team in Orange County, Calif., and has been going strong since 2003.

They welcome men and women of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds who love being part of a team, working out, and having fun.

The team participates in both recreational and competitive dragon boat races that are sanctioned by the IDBA (International Dragon Boat Association) and CDBA (California Dragon Boat Association).

They have competed as close to home as Long Beach and as far away as China.

Sunday was a beautiful day for a potluck to celebrate all cancer survivors during National Cancer Survivors Day 2023. Thank you to all who joined in and made it such a fun and meaningful day!

Today's our Cancer Survivor's Day potluck.

Surviving cancer is something to celebrate, but it’s not the end of the story. Cancer changes your health and your life forever. Today, on National Cancer Survivors Day, let’s and raise awareness of the challenges of cancer survivorship.

Please join us on Sunday, June 4th at 11am to celebrate National Cancer Survivor Day through adventure, sport and connection.

The NAC / Recreational Dragon Boat Team is hosting a Comunity Potluck at the Newport Aquatic Center to help connect and celebrate local cancer survivors and fighters in Southern California.

Yesterday, we had a great paddle followed by a fun send-off party for our four New Zealand-bound breast cancer survivors who will be racing in the International Breast Cancer Paddlers Commission 2023 IBCPC Dragon Boat Festival in April as part of the Central Coast SurviveOars team. Good luck, ladies!

We got bling! The Newport Aquatic Center Recreational Dragon Boat Team participated in its first race of the 2023 season on March 4 at the Marina del Rey Dragon Boat Festival, hosted by LA County Dragon Boat Club (Team DPW), and we took 1st in Women's Division B and 3rd in Competitive Division B!

Our next race will be June 10 at the 4th Annual Castaic Lake Dragon Boat Club - Home of Team Dragon Eyes Dragon Boat Festival. Paddles up!

Four of our survivors are getting ready to race in New Zealand as part of the International Breast Cancer Paddlers Commission Dragon Boat Destival. Woot-woot!
