Do you have under active muscles? Isometric training is excellent for that!
Being about to key in and focus on isometric exercises is great for muscle stabilization and gaining strength. In this video, Coach A.J. is solely isolating and focusing hamstring development through this exercise. This form of training is a great method to help gain better strength and functionality as you continue to grow on your fitness journey. Try it out!

How it started 🆚 how it’s going
D.J.’s progress since June 6th last year has been major to say the least! We’ve packed on just over 15lbs of muscle and corrected some muscles imbalances.

- Warrior Management
Let’s talk about the single leg glute bridge! This exercise is KEY for unlocking and developing the posterior chain (hamstrings, glutes, and lower back). It’s also a great way to help as well as prevent muscle imbalances.
The key here is that Janah is completely engaging her hips and glutes in this movement. Once this happens, the hip flexors also begin to losen, which allows for greater flexibility.

Let’s talk Fad Diets. - More like SAD diets, amirite?
All jokes aside, I’m often asked by both clients as well as colleagues why I don’t recommend diets. My answer is the same each time:
Every diet isn’t for everyone and most diets are designed to fail.
Now, in no way, shape or form am I saying you’re wrong for following a diet. I’m just sharing why I don’t and why I won’t recommend them.
Diets more often than not represent or are paired with a “quick fix” approach to weight loss. What happens when that time period is up? Lost weight tends to find its way back because we aren’t educated on how to maintain the change.
So what do I suggest? What do I do? That’s a VERY simple formula: I do exactly what works for my body. I eat foods I like and watch my portions always.
I haven’t cut out everything I enjoy. I phased some out and limited everything else. And guess what? I’m seeing results DAILY. This health thing isn’t difficult but it DOES require dedication. Let’s go!!
Let’s talk about one of the most hated yet beneficial exercises: Planks
Did you know that planks can reduce back pain and improve your posture? This is through stretching and activating muscle that sit dormant throughout the day.
Planks also improve your balance and improve muscular endurance by working the smaller muscles we often unintentionally neglect.
Just one to two 45-60 second sets of planks per day can help improve your balance, workout capacity, and even your confidence in just a few short weeks!

Different incline angles while working on bench is the easiest way to engage and change your chest muscles (pec minor & major). - I won’t get into other pectoral muscles like the subscapularis because there’s no reason to dive that deep…pun intended lol - Annnnnyway, different incline angles help incorporate different types of activation for your muscles. When you have different unique activation, you get different looks. You have to challenge yourself in order to reach levels unobtained. Try it out! 💪🏾🔥
