I'm working at SAGE San Francisco today, Saturday and Sunday 2p-12a.

Public Service Announcement: If you travel and stay in hotels/motels/resorts with pets, give the room a good look-around before letting your pet off leash in the room.

I found this pill (most likely a B-vitamin supplement) beneath the couch of this hotel room last night, luckily before my dog did. She gave and continues to give the room a good search from the low ground-level.

Small items such as pills (supplements, prescription drugs, OTC drugs, recreational drugs) are frequently dropped and fall into places that aren't accessible by vacuum... but accessible by dog noses! I travel often for work and I find things left behind in rooms at least half or the time.

I once saw a small Shih Tzu puppy in the ER that ingested a small but very effective amount of cannabis from under the bed of their hotel room within the first 15 minutes of checking in. This was the family's first vacation after traumatically losing their son to a drunk driver 1 year prior and the situation was very tense. Their puppy spent the night at the hospital, the hotel refunded the room after the first night and they went home the next day, cutting their vacation very short. Although their situation was unfortunate, they were lucky that the ingested item was not much worse - as it could have been.

I drove to the Tri-cities today so that I can cover a few emergency shifts in Pasco. Snoqualmie pass was reasonable and the skies around Yakima looked like this. I’m looking forward to meeting and working with a new crew tomorrow night!
