Our vision is to see the day when no person goes without treatment because of an inability to pay.

The Assistance Fund (TAF) is an independent charitable patient assistance organization that helps patients and families facing high medical out-of-pocket costs by providing financial assistance for their copayments, coinsurance, deductibles, and other health-related expenses. We currently manage nearly 100 disease programs, each of which covers all FDA-approved treatment for the disease named in t

See you in Atlanta! The TAF team is headed this weekend to the debra of America Care Conference. Please be sure to say hi and stop by our booth if you're attending. The conference is a great opportunity for patients, families, advocates, and care providers to listen to, meet with, and learn from leading medical professionals as well as academic researchers and organizations conducting research into treatments and a cure for EB.

In 2022, Kanwar’s doctor prescribed a new treatment that would better address his symptoms. When he got to the pharmacy, he learned it would be $2,000 each month for the copay.

“I said, ‘That’s ridiculous. I can’t afford it,’” Kanwar said. “I didn’t have any hope.”
