The Long Island Mutiny is an amateur men's baseball team. It was founded in January 2002. well we probably are. How sad for you. This is supposed to be funny.
2001, there lived two friends, lost boys’ Michael and Greg. The two friends had for many years belonged to a group of Pirates. Michael and Greg toiled long and hard for the tyrannical Pirate Captain, as did other members of the valiant crew. At first things were good for this band of Pirates. Their Pirate ship was proud and majestic. The Captain ruthless, cunning and bold. The crew liked and respected him. Together, Captain and crew plundered Championships and Pennant Flags, and had their way with the w***hes. Nevertheless, things began to change. The Pirate Captain was becoming unstable, and emotional or, maybe, just old and cranky. He was beginning to hallucinate. The crews were starting to appear before him as cancer causing bilge rats. Then one day, late in 2001, after a battle that had not gone well, the tyrannical Pirate Captain threw another one of his hissy fits. After this hissy fit, where the tyrannical Pirate Captain vowed to abandon and maroon his crew, a band of unhappy Pirates approached Michael. They could take the tantrums and hissy fits no more. They were embarrassed to be Pirates. Even the Indians, Tigers and other dangerous creatures of the land were laughing at the band of Pirates. Sadly, even some older and most loyal of Pirates felt that they were no longer appreciated by the tyrannical Pirate Captain and sought change. Many of the fearless crew wished to be Pirates no more. Nevertheless, they lacked the resolve just to abandon the ship. They needed a plan. Thus, they first approached Michael, and expressing their unhappiness, asked Michael to devise a plan to lead and deliver them from their lives of servitude and misery. It took much convincing, but finally Michael convinced Greg to help him free the unhappy crew. Both friends agreed to devise a plan that would help the unhappy crew abandon their lives as Pirates and to lead a new and more tranquil way of life. A life to be filled with Florida Baseball games, crew barbeques, and of course nights filled with much drinking and song. The stage was set for a Mutiny. Some Pirates favored making the tyrannical Pirate Captain and some of his first mates walk the plank. A true Mutiny. Then they could stay Pirates forever. Michael and Greg would have none of this. Michael and Greg felt sorry for the old, feeble tyrannical Pirate Captain. They thought it better just to give up entirely their lives as Pirates. Still, the tyrannical Pirate Captain would not make it so easy. Like Pharaoh of ancient Egypt, he would not let the unhappy crew go. He demanded a ransom. Wishing to avoid bloodshed, Michael and Greg decided to pay the tyrannical Pirate Captain the ransom to release many of the crew. This was a time of great internal struggle, and some rebellious Pirates changed their minds. They did not want to give up their lives as Pirates and did an about face. Some cited loyalty as the reason, while others feared the tyrannical Pirate Captain. If he had his way, he would feed their sorry bones to the sharks that swam in the cold still black waters of the sea of the Isle of Long. The remaining Pirates and their Tyrannical Pirate Captain swore a blood oath to avenge themselves upon the Mutiny. Yet the bravest of the Pirates, those who had plundered Championships, Pennants and w***hes, John, Gary, Chuck & Ulysses and of course Michael and Greg, persevered. The Mutiny was alive. "IT IS ALIVE." Seeing how happy the former Pirates are in their new lives, and trading in their eye patches and peg legs for more regal pinstripes, other Pirates, friends, friends of friends & co-workers from near and far joined the Mutiny and its valiant members. Michael, Greg, Gary, Charlie, Ulysses and John welcomed the new members of the Mutiny. They include the two Steves, John Pratt, David, Stewart, Robert and Brian. Soon the Mutiny would be ready to sail the seas of the Isle of Long and plunder Championships and Pennants again. Still, all felt that a final piece was missing. Then one day, a traveler arrived. He was a strange man, who left puddles behind wherever he traveled and for reasons unknown, he became known to all as the P**s Man. With the arrival of the P**s Man the Mutiny was complete. Of course even the bravest of Mutineers must have the blessings of their w***hes and Greg & Michael and every member of the Mutiny would like to thank all of the w***hes involved in the Mutiny, with special thanks going to w***h Heidi for her hand in the Mutiny. It would not be the same without Gary. The future will not be an easy one for the Mutiny. Many dangers will be lurking. This valiant band will have to fight off Indians, Tigers, Bear Cubs, poisonous Diamond Backs, face storms such as Cyclones, and ever waiting for their chance to make the Mutiny walk the plank, the Pirates. Nevertheless, in the end it will be "ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL!" and the Mutiny shall prevail. All could hear as the S.S. Long Island Mutiny sailed out of sight, Happy baseball to all and to all a good night! Stay tuned for more adventures of the Long Island Mutiny. The saga is just beginning.
