21st-century city services don’t operate efficiently in extreme office temperatures ! The city’s workforce has been taken back to the 1990s... literally back to growing up without air conditioning. Philadelphians deserve better! 🥵🪭
Now is the time for Parker to show leadership & end her mandate! It’s not good for the efficiency, accessibility, retention/recruitment, work/life balance, & now safety of a 21st-century city workforce in 2024. We encourage the to accept our call for expedited Arbitration on this issue. Philadelphia deserves better!

You mean forcing workers back into the office, like it’s the 1990s, isn’t working in 2024??? Why hurt efficiency & accessibility improvements found during the pandemic? Philadelphians deserve 21st-century city services! end your mandate!

. Parker it’s not too late to change your mind…. Everyone sees it. Your mandate is not good for new found productivity & efficiency of 21st-century city services in Philadelphia realized over the last couple of years. Philadelphia deserves better!

WHYY covers the story: efficient & accessible 21st-century city services are being hurt in Philadelphia by Parker’s mandate. 9 people working in a cramped room… with only 6 electrical outlets??? Make it make sense. 🤦♂️ 🤦♀️

🙄 yep this looks like an office ready for innovation & collaboration for 21st-century city services… Philadelphia deserves better Parker.

Why fix something if it isn’t broke Parker??? You just hurt the productivity & efficiency of Philly’s 21st-century city services & its workers! Philadelphia deserves better than a mandate. ❤️
. parker rushed workers back into the office, hurt the efficiency of Philly’s 21st-century city services, & is now offering horrendous working conditions. Philadelphia deserves better. This is not okay! 🐁🐀

21st-century city workers deserve the opportunity to do their best work for … Being forced into the office 5 days a week will make productivity go ⬇️ & taxpayers will end up paying for it. Philadelphians deserve better! Check out these terrible office conditions.

Philadelphia deserves a 21st-century city workforce. Innovation & collaboration happen outside of the outdated 9-to-5 office world. How will we recruit & retain the best & brightest workers??
The disrespect Parker continues to show Philadelphians who rely on important city services & the workers that supply them is UNREAL right now… why not throw the usual “management appreciates you pizza party?” Embarrassing. 🍕🤦♂️🤦♀️
21st-century efficient, effective, & accessible city services… the environment, carbon emissions, traffic, family time, picking the kids up from school, savings accounts, mental health, exercise, home-cooked meals, and work/life balance… are all more important than cheap swag bags!
Sub-headline says it all. Parker putting corporate profits over the people of Philadelphia. Philadelphians deserve high quality, efficient, effective, & accessible 21st-century city services!
We are disappointed with the results of the hearing today, but our fight is not over. This decision means that all affected workers should report as directed to their office or worksite. We will continue to pursue a fair resolution through the contractual grievance process and hope that the city will accept our request for expedited arbitration in this matter. We look forward to negotiating with the Parker administration.
We remain committed to building a 21st-century city government that serves all Philadelphians.
One size fits all doesn’t work for city services Parker! The gov should be more inclusive and attract and retain the best talent. Philadelphia deserves better. ❤️

Why are we calling for sacrifice when government is in fine budget shape? The real sacrifice here: ending flexible, efficient, and accessible 21st-century city services in order to fill downtown buildings & make real estate investors happy…hurting the taxpayers of Philadelphia . Philly deserves better!
Today, we filled the courtroom at City Hall and argued our case for why revoking alternative and hybrid work schedules will be a disaster for Philadelphia city services. Union members took the stand and testified to the impacts of Mayor Parker’s callousness. The hearing will continue tomorrow morning at 9:30am in City Hall Room 653. Come out to support if you are able!
We are hopeful that we will win this injunction and that the city will accept our request for expedited arbitration in this matter. We remain committed to building a 21st-century city government that serves all Philadelphians.
Philadelphia deserves 21st-century city services.
Yes, we heard that you don’t care about efficient, accessible, and productive 21st-century city services in Philadelphia. Philadelphians deserve better!
We are taking legal action against Mayor Cherelle Parker’s 5-day in-office mandate, which she intends to unilaterally impose on us this Monday, July 15, after refusing to negotiate with the City employees it impacts. Today held a press conference affirming her intentions despite the widespread criticism she has faced. As has documented, no other major US city has adopted a policy as regressive and inflexible as the one Mayor Parker intends to implement.
We will be at City Hall tomorrow morning for the first step in our legal action: an injunction hearing before a judge. We remain disappointed in the Mayor's denial of our collective bargaining rights, and concerned for the impact it will have on our ability to deliver quality city services, which we have been successfully sustaining despite 20% vacancy rates in our departments.
Increased efficiency, increased productivity, increased accessibility, increased health care coordination… all things that alternative work schedules/hybrid work allow Philadelphians to benefit from. Parker your worker mandate hurts Philly. Philadelphians deserve 21st-century city services!
*ALERT* Return To Work 5-Day Mandate Press Conference at 11AM!
This morning, join Mayor Cherelle L. Parker as she discusses her Administration’s position on her Return to Office Policy.

IF alternative work schedules are removed from the government on Monday 7/15, expect to see a lot of city service delays like this in the near future. 1 in 5 jobs are already vacant & that problem will get worse. When you get rid of work efficiency, everything runs slower. Philadelphian’s deserve better!
Not only do alternative work schedules allow for better work/life balance, but they allow for better productivity. This allows for tax payer funded city services to run more efficiently, increasing Philadelphian’s bang for your buck! 💰
Send a letter to Parker to stop this bad decision… Philadelphia deserves better!
