Local 19 was proud to host Secretary Julie Su and show her and her staff how an actual training center operates. Unionized Building Trade crafts invest millions of their own dollars a year into their apprentices, facilities, and curriculum to ensure the skilled and trained workforce of the future.

As we make historic investments in clean energy, we need to make sure that the jobs that are created in this field are GOOD jobs.

The 4th of July is a time when we reflect on the values that define our nation: freedom, resilience, and unity. As we gather with family and friends to celebrate, let us also honor the hardworking men and women who have built this country and continue to shape its future.

Our union stands as a testament to the strength and solidarity of American workers. We fight every day to make sure that everyone who works hard and takes pride in their work enjoys the fruits of their labor through good wages, great benefits, and a dignified retirement. All of us are a part of the greater labor movement, and together we can, have, and will continue to achieve great things for our community and the country as a whole.

As we mark this special day, let us remember those who have sacrificed and contributed to the fabric of our society. Let us celebrate with gratitude for the opportunities and freedoms we enjoy as Americans.

Local19 members, we just received word that the Buildings Trades Softball League moved the time of Local 19’s softball game tomorrow with the sprinkler fitters up to 6:30 instead of 8:15 as was on the original schedule. Please take note!

Local 19 is out with an informational banner letting the community know that Matriarch Sign Solutions are undercutting good area business by refusing to pay their workers the area wages and standards. This hurts other businesses doing the right thing by workers which in turn damages our local economy and communities!

Tonight, Local 19 held our Special Order of Business for Officer Nominations and it was a White Ballot! Congratulations to President/Business Manager Bryan Bush and all the officers elected tonight.

Local 19 will continue to have a bright future and move our union family forward in all divisions we represent!

This past Saturday Local 19 was out walking on GOTV weekend for endorsed candidates in Monroe and Washington Twp in Gloucester County and in Camden County.

Local 19 members, the Philadelphia Building Trades Softball League only has a few games left. Come on out and route for our team and the defending champions of the league!

This past Saturday, Local 19 apprentices were out in Delaware helping get the word out for Speaker of the DE House Valerie Longhurst!

Local 19 is proud to support Bucks County Community College’s Girls Ignite event. The Union had a booth set up where 8th grade girls had the opportunity to speak with Local 19 Journeypersons Natasha Scott and Caitlyn Bednar, along with Business Agents Pete O’Brien and Jim Keenan, and Organizer Eric Silcox. They learned about what a sheet metal worker does and all the different facets of our craft.
