We are still in awe of the community turnout from Monday’s eclipse! Librarians Erin and Shane from the Science and Wellness Department did an amazing job organizing the event. Lots of eclipse glasses were handed out in the weeks leading up to the event, but a whopping 1,715 people received free glasses courtesy of the Free Library on Monday. Our Special Collections team had a coloring sheet scanned from a WPA Astronomy Poster circa 1938 and a stamp craft inspired by artist Ruth Asawa using Free Library Stamps.
