Independent readers and children who are learning to read are invited to practice their reading skills with a certified therapy dog from Comfort Caring Canines today from 3:30-4:30 pm. Yes, you can pet them, too! Dogs will be accompanied by their handler during this program & each child will be assigned individual time to read to the dog.

This event will take place in the Story Hour Room, within the Children’s Department.

Space is limited; first come, first served. Independent readers and children who are learning to read will be prioritized. Our dog friends always say hello and goodbye, so every child has a chance to meet them!

PLEASE NOTE: The 4th of July holiday is next week! The system will be closing at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 3rd and remain closed on Thursday, July 4th. Then starting Saturday, July 6th we’ll have our new Summer Saturday hours through Saturday, August 24th (10:00 am-5:00 pm)!

Join us for our upcoming Ants on a Log Pride show! Nationally acclaimed children's music band Ants on a Log will perform their signature mix of humor and harmony. In this free musical concert, children earn superpowers and become official Rainbow Seekers, ideal for children kindergarten through 5th grade.
