Roll into Rest with Adriana + Anisha
🗓️Sunday, August 18, 1 pm

Tension and stress can build up without us even realizing it. Often, we only notice their effects when we finally take a moment to relax. In this 90-minute practice, a true gift to yourself, you’ll be guided through self-massage techniques to alleviate knots and tightness, creating more space in your body. This will be followed by a restorative, guided awareness practice for deep rejuvenation.

It’s a great way to unwind and give yourself much-needed time to reset and rest.

About Khalief:

Khalief Khadafi Walker known as Leaf is a Yogi/healer who teaches yoga, meditation, and a holistic approach to overall health and well being. Fully steeped in the spiritual and philosophical aspects of human existence, he is also recognized for his vigorous asana practice in which he combines balance, upper body strength and awareness to master inversions and arm balances.

In 2020, after years of teaching and acquiring the required hours of teaching experience Khalief decided to focus full time on Yoga and created Yoga Chitta’s signature 200hr Ytt course.  He co-founded Yoga Chitta school/community in efforts to create a safe environment for black, brown, and Indigenous people in America and abroad.

Get to know Anisha! ⭐️🐶🪷

“Throughout my life, I was always taking dance classes, ballet throughout childhood and college, to house classes at Urban Movement Arts in Philly and Koresh Dance studio, moving my body was always a tether throughout all of my jobs. In 2010, I stepped into my first yoga class in the city, and got a taste of everything this practice had to offer, from the asana practice, to the breathwork, to the ease it gave me after each class I would take. The yoga practice has been my longest relationship and seen. me through every phase of my life and it truly is the gift and anchor that keeps on giving.”

About leading a 200 hr yoga teacher training:

“Co-leading a 200 hour training has and continues to be an absolute dream. From the moment folks reach out to and myself, to the group of assistants who hold and support us and the entire cohort, to co teaching with Adriana, it feels like alchemy to watch the teachings and the practice reveal itself to the students. While 10 months in the beginning seems like a long time, each year we seem to be left wanting more and more, for the conversations are so rich and the guests that come from far and wide offer such wisdom that we get to learn from each year.
