Delphi- considered the center of the world to the ancient Greeks- is located on the western slope of Mount Parnassus.
Monthly pilgrimages were made so the Greeks could consult the oracle about important decisions.
Today, many ruins exist- the agora, treasury, sacrificial altar, Temple of Zeus, a theater, and at the top- a stadium that held the Pythian Games every 4 years.
If you zoom into the arial view looking down the mountain, you see Delphi and 2 additional sites of ancient ruins, in the valley below.
Took a private catamaran tour around the caldera and gained a whole new perspective- seeing the ridge lines of Santorini from the water was breathtaking.
The last 2 pictures show St. Nicholas Church, carved into the mountainside. Dedicated to the sailors of Santorini, the white washed entrance opens into a cave that houses the magnificent church structure deep within.
Santorini's ridge line may look like snow, but upon closer inspection, those white caps are actually the beautiful white-washed villages of the island. Our trek from Oia to Akrotiri allowed us to experience the island's unique cave dwellings, churches, castle towns, shops, cafes, and private homes, all nestled along small, narrow, winding labyrinth-like streets.
Santorini (pronounced sandoˈrini) classically Thera, officially Thira, is what remains after an enormous volcanic explosion destroyed the earliest settlements on a formerly single island, creating the current geological “caldera”.
This giant central “caldera” / lagoon is surrounded by steep cliffs on three sides, sloping downward to the Aegean Sea. 🇬🇷

We initiate the process with a Hands On Session, then I teach my clients how to continue the process on their own.
