Christmas time is here! Anyone else fully behind the 8ball like me and love a good deal? It seems we were sick for weeks on end and I didn't do my typical 20% off on Black Friday sale.

Well, for all of the impossible people to shop for, last minute gift-ers (like myself), and those people who have it all together and know they need something in 2023 (like seniors class of 2024!) - from now through 2022 all full sessions are 20% off. 50% deposit due now, balance due at the shoot. ☝ Don't worry- photographers kids don't cooperate for sessions either! So please don't ever feel the need to apologize for an uncooperative kiddo- my very own 7(almost 8 entirely too old to behave that way year old) feels zero remorse for killing my vision. 🙃

But in that same session period, when she was largely uncooperative, scowling and red faced with tears, I also got this picture which *instantly* became one of my favorite pictures of her. Just because a kid doesn't cooperate when you want them to, it doesn't mean all hope is lost... it usually isn't!

It's Christmas in July! .... I know, I know, I'm not ready yet either, but at 153 days away, it'll be here before we know it!

I've opened my Christmas mini's this year- with a return of the show stopper green couch in South Park! Don't wait to book- these will definitely fill up and there's an extremely limited availability!

I usually work with so many seniors in the late summer and fall with the chaos of fall and holiday mini sessions and just life, that I sometimes don't even get to enjoy the session as much as I would like.

Justin had a season ending injury this year in football, which sidelined him for pictures, too. (Not easy to pose with an immobilized knee). So we got these done last weekend, and I am loving them! It's been a while since I got to work with some seniors, and I'm so excited to have some more scheduled in the next few weeks!

I'm booking summer sessions now, it's never too soon to start planning for your class of 2023 senior! 😜

(Also- I'm sure many of you know the man in the last picture, the infamous "T-O-double dizzle" or the man who fell/jumped from the Birmingham Bridge a few months ago. He told us he was "South Side Famous" and asked to hop in a pic. Anything for a local celebrity!)

Sometimes things don't go as planned, but honestly, I wouldn't have changed this session for anything! I told the parents to be this is literally the best real life scenario of parenting- make plans and expect them to be totally derailed! (Except maybe warmer shoes for the mama to be and a heat lamp in between shots 🤣). Thanks for keeping it interesting Pittsburgh!

I want to scream out Happy Birthday to my friend Jordan! (Also the stunning bride in the pics with her husband Al, and stunner daughter Jaylee. Also including a solo pic of Al on your birthday appreciation post because he's literally the greatest- I mean look at his face when he saw you walking towards him! 😍)

Jordan and I met more than 15 years ago working together at TGI Friday's. While social media isn't always great, it's allowed us to maintain a friendship when we went out separate ways. Jordan asked me if I would take pics of their wedding and it was the easiest yes ever! While she left me behind at the airport on their way to Greece, I couldn't be happier for Mr. & Mrs. Jones!

So thankful our paths crossed in section 1, shift leader, and closing hostess all of those years ago. ♥
