Jean Lifsey (mother of Gina Redfern) memorial service will be held at Hearts on Fire this afternoon, July 27, 2024, at Hearts on Fire Church, 4010 Fambrough Drive, Powdee Springs, GA.

Dorothy Jean Traxler Lifsey, 85, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on July 23rd, 2024. She was born on February 14th, 1939 in Polkville, Mississippi to parents Olon and Eva Traxler. Jean spent the majority of her years living in Mississippi, Tennessee and ultimately Georgia. She worked as a nurse’s assistant, secretary, and was a business owner for many years. In her free time, she loved gardening, reading, and had a passion to cook for people. A dedicated mother and grandmother, Jean loved her family with all of her heart and was very present all throughout their lives. She served the Lord passionately and was committed to growing in her knowledge of the Word.

Jean was preceded in death by her son Mark, her husband Tony, her parents Olon and Eva, and brothers Jimmy and Eddie.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Gina Redfern and her husband Brett ; Grandchildren, Matthew, Brandon, Tyler, and Preston ; great grandchildren, Ember, Teddy and Willow ; Brothers Sammy and Bobby.

Church, our sweet Gina Redfern’s mama went to be with the Lord last night. Gina is just getting over also being sick herself, and her whole family is coming into town soon.
