Ahh! Last nights dinner was an awesome, colorful meal that featured wild venison from . The meat was naturally tender w/ a clean, mild taste!

3 ounces of wild cooked venison contains; 130 calories, 3g fat, and 18g of quality protein.

Ahh! A new month, a new week, a new day full of vital new energy!

What are dreaming about for yourself for this brand new month?

For me, I look forward to expanding my organic herb & veggie garden this month and soon, will restart my backyard “fermentation fun”classes.

Also, this month I will finish my certification as a Kiss the Ground “soil advocate” to share my love for how we can heal our soil and sequester more carbon into the soil to improve our carbon footprint.

Whatever inspires us to grow, learn & “March” forward, it’s easier when we can recharge our batteries with this beautiful Spring energy!

I have learned from experience to listen to my body and my when it says Take it Easy! Recovery days are needed to counterbalance the stress of a hard workout.

Why Tyrosine rich foods should matter to you!

Tyrosine is an amino acid ( AA)involved that produces the neurotransmitter, dopamine.
Dopamine is the brain chemical that allows you to think, build self efficacy, focus , pay attention to what really matters, builds perseverance and motivation.

How much Tyrosine do you need?

Tyrosine is conditionally essential AA since it can be made by the body if a person consumes enough of the amino acid, phenylalanine.

The recommended daily intake of phenylalanine and tyrosine is 11mg per pound. Assuming you gets half your requirement from each amino acid, you can then consume 5.5mg per pound.

For example, I weigh 132lbs so I need at least 750 mg of tyrosine and phenylalanine a day or MORE to properly boost my dopamine stores

Refer back to this chart to get how well you’re getting your baseline needs met.

Tip: It’s a lot easier to get your needs met if you consume nutrient dense foods like grass finished beef, pastured poultry, and some hard aged cheese or kefir.

To be focused in your workouts and persevere in the game of life. aim to get your daily dose of tyrosine.

Woke up feeling sluggish & unmotivated this morning;yet, I am in a better mood & feel more alive after this Short Sprint session this morn.

7 min: Warm-up walk & some skipping.
Yep, skip w high knees!!
Pretend you’re in kindergarten🤣🤣

8 sprints for 15- 20 seconds at 80% speed
Followed by 45 second recovery walk
5 min cool down walk
20 min & I am ✅ !!

If you’re new to interval training, start w/
8 seconds fast + 20-30 seconds active rest
Repeat 5-10 times and build up towards longer speed intervals + longer recovery.
Twice a week and soon you’ll build speed and confidence!

When you pick up a box of tea or any food label and see the term “natural flavor” it might put your mind at ease;however, natural flavors are more like “natural disasters.”

🍎And they are ubiquitous! In fact, “Natural flavor” is now the 4th most common ingredient listed on food labels from research by the EWG~the environmental working group looking at 80,000 of the most common foods.

🍎The FDA defines natural flavors as any ingredient derived from plants and animals;however, that doesn’t mean that your apple flavor comes from apples in fact your apple flavor can contain mixtures of hundreds of synthetic chemicals and food companies don’t have to disclose these hidden ingredients.
So, you don’t know what chemicals are the cause of your digestive issues! 🤷‍♀️

🍎Why do companies use natural flavors? If you’ve ever eaten a perfect strawberry and then a sour one from the same batch it makes sense creating a “frankenflavor” means that every product will taste exactly the same every single time.
But, on a sinister level, these natural flavors have proven to be way more addictive so we crave more of it🤬. Research indicates some natural flavors in our food act like Excitotoxins for our brain in a similar fashion to the food additive, MSG.
