This morning, Commissioner Jilek, Board Chair Brian Bowling & Training Instructor Chris Sizemore gathered with recruits from classes 548, 549, 550 & 551 to recognize & thank those that actively participated in the annual KLEMF memorial service. The service would not be the same without these young recruits spending time away from their schedules to honor their fallen comrades. KLEMF truly appreciates their efforts & that of Instructor Sizemore; it was an honor to work with them! Thank you Deputy Commissioner Mike Bosse & Assistant Training Director Chip White for being present.
Many special moments and special people contributed to a beautiful service on Tuesday, June 4th to honor those that gave their life in the line of duty. We are forever grateful for their sacrifice.
What can be said about people who have given their all to safeguard the public they serve? Today, we gathered for only remembrance and respect.

Working on replacement of the patio in front of the KLEMF monument. The existing engraved pavers have been purchased over the years since 1999. Some were faded and illegible so as part of the expansion project, they are being replaced with newly engraved & better quality bricks. Many thanks to Will Chapman and Clay Ingels Company for their assistance & donation to this project. Also, shout out to RW Thompson for the close attention to detail on this.
Much need improvements such as this are very costly. Please visit www.klemf.org to donate to this deserving project & to purchase your own engraved paver in honor of the Kentucky law enforcement community.
