Happy Birthday Dad. You are beyond dearly missed.
Wayne K. Perry
Aug. 1951- 10 Aug 2021
a.k.a
Papa Wayne, Opa
Wayne K. Perry was a loquacious man who, in his almost 70 years of life, never once meet a stranger. He was a gracious and loving man who daily showed genuine care and compassion for his fellow man. While he could hold his own in any situation, the warmth of his kind heart crossed the vast expanses of space and time and into galaxies far, far away.
Wherever he went he had a kind word and a smile, or warm caring countenance that would sit and listen to anyone who welcomed it and his generosity was immeasurable. Wayne Believed in Honor and Integrity and fully trusted that those around him would inherently reciprocate, which wasn't always the case. Yet still he lead each day with open heart, open arms and true faith in his brothers and sisters in humanity.
Wayne's Kindness had a tendency to overshadow his quiet strength. Never one to shy away from speaking his mind, yet ever courteous. He was always brave enough to communicate concisely and stand behind his convictions while still respecting everyone's right to disagree. However, should interventions be needed, he had the shot grouping to back it up in defense of his fellow man. His motto; “Tread lightly, but carry a big stick.”
Wayne was born in August 1951 to Betty and J.C. Perry. After living his early years in Irving, Texas; the family relocated to Withhams VA where he attended Atlantic High School ESVA until returning to Texas and graduating from Irving High School, Class of 1969.
Wayne Perry is a Cold War era Veteran having served in the Army Security Agency as an Electronics Warfare and Intercept systems repairer in Turkey ('77- '79) and Germany ('80 - '83) where he meet and married the Love of his Life, Carolien. After being relocated to Massachusetts, Wayne developed education programs at the Ft Devens intelligence school until his military separation in 1985. Following his military service, Wayne earned a Masters in Business Administration from Dallas Baptist University ('88) while working full time as an aerospace quality engineer for various companies until 2000.
In his later years he enjoyed educating individuals on the finer points of tax preparation, RPG gaming with his friends, chatting with as many people as he could in a day and genuinely caring for all who crossed his path.
Wayne Perry will be sincerely missed by many. Survived by his Mother; Betty Perry, Wife of 38 Years; Carolien, beloved brother, sister, niece, nephew, 5 children, innumerable grandchildren and honorary adopted children and grandchildren alike.
