Jacinto "Hoss" Martinez - Meadowlawn Funeral Home Jacinto Martinez, age 71 went to be with our Creator Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Affectionally known by his nickname “Hoss”, he was a graduate of G.W. Brackenridge High School class of 1971. At Brackenridge, Hoss played with the 1970 basketball team who made it to the Regional finals. He was proud...

I am very saddened to have to deliver the news of the passing of an Eagle that hits close to home. Jacinto Martinez, affectionately known to many as Hoss, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Hoss was a VERY proud 1971 EAGLE graduate of Brackenridge High School. He was also one of the original Board Members of the Brackenridge High School Alumni Association when we formed in 2007. He became one of our proud supporters. He was the biggest Brackenridge HS fan I knew....always talking about his Brack days and supporting Brackenridge High School & Alumni in many ways and of course sporting purple & white Eagle gear!! He will truly be missed!
Hoss, I know you are soaring amongst the Eagles. Rest in God's peace.

Brackenridge High School, SAISD JROTC C/CPT Naima Rios was recognized by the Alamo Chapter of The ROCKS Inc. She graduated from high school at age 16 and was one of only four individuals from the greater San Antonio area to receive the 2024 Alamo Chapter ROCKS Scholarship. Rios will be attending Texas A&M University – San Antonio in the Fall, where she will double major in Psychology and Finance. She will also apply for an ROTC scholarship when she turns 17 in August as she hopes to serve as an Army Officer upon completing her graduation requirements. Congratulations Naima!

2020 Brack Grad Trinity Arambula, graduating from UT Austin. Fantastic resume & experiences and onto do great things:

Trinity Arambula:
I wanted to share the rest of my photos and celebrate my milestone of graduating from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors of Science in Public Relations as and a minor in Interior Design from the School of Architecutre. I wanted to share some highlights from my time on the 40 acres.

To start in total I received $117,043 in scholarships and grants being a
- Moody Sucess Scholar
- Dell Scholar
- Baumberger Scholar
- HSF scholar

I made the deans list in the Fall 21 and Fall 22 semesters and completed the Texas Media & Analytics sequence, a hand picked group of PR and advertising students chosen to formulate data-driven campaigns for brands.

I also want to highlight my time in my study abroad program in Ireland where I worked with a e-commerce startup and presented to their Dublin headquarters. My time in Ireland was truly life changing and one of my favorite parts of my college career.

In my last semester, I was selected as the Vice President of my capstone student agency, Boiling Point where I lead 5 departments to create a full communications campaign for our client.

I’ve spent my time around the 40 acres in various organizations such as:
- Texas Gymanstics where I became the Merchanise Chair my Fall sophomore year
- a Moody Sucess Scholar Mentor
- VS PINK’s campus team where I was a photographer for their social media campaigns
- Camp Texas where I was a counselor and then on the 22-23 Executive board as a Program Coordinator
- Texas Royals where I was the social chair for 2 semesters and in my last semester was the President

Additionally, I had the pleasure of being an intern at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Austin this past semester creating content and launching an intern campaign.

While completing all of this, I continuted to work 30-40 hours at HEB working as a manger in the front end and being offered a full time role as a Career Coach Admin and moving into total store leadership half way into my last year.

It was not always easy but I did it! I learned that hard work and determination really can take you far.

Thank you to all my family and friends who have supported me in this journey! ❤️ I would not be able to do it without the support of everyone! ❤️

I’m excited to enter this next chapter in my life and see what I will accomplish next! HOOK EM’ FOREVER! 🤘🧡
