¡VIVA AMOR 2024! The Battle of Flowers shared the love with 10 area high schools who will join us in next year’s parade and showcase “Celebrations We Love in San Antonio!” Each school will bring to life a beloved San Antonio celebration from “A Picnic in the Park” to “Dia de los Muertos” to “Holiday Cheer in Alamo Plaza.”

The 2024 Public School Section of the parade includes Winston Churchill High School - North East ISD, Cole Fort Sam Houston Independent School District, Harlan Northside ISD, Highlands High School, SAISD, Jefferson High School, SAISD, Judson High School, Marshall, McCollum, O’Connor and Southwest ISD high schools which will all ride on floats in the parade and be accompanied by their bands and spirit groups.

Over a four year rotating cycle, each public school in the San Antonio area is invited to participate in the Public School Section. Our goal is that every band and spirit student will have the opportunity to participate in this special section of the parade at least once during his or her high school career.

For the past 132 years, parade patrons have lined the downtown streets of San Antonio for the oldest parade of Fiesta San Antonio – The Battle of Flowers Parade. Next year’s parade will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024 with almost 200 entries including spectacular floats, balloons, marching bands and precision drill teams.
