I had an injured woman message me over the weekend on Facebook and said she had a herniated disc from a car accident, which is terrible. Car wrecks can really cause a lot of bodily harm and disability and can change lives forever. The really sad part is she had signed an agreement with the insurance company of the person that caused the accident. The agreement was they would pay for 2 months of chiropractic treatments and an additional $1,000 for her suffering. At the time she did not know she had a herniated disc and it seemed like a good idea to agree to the settlement.

Now 3 months later, her treatment has expired, she has no insurance and needs to pay out of pocket for expensive treatments that should have been covered under the accident. Sadly, the third party insurance company has no obligation to you since you are not their customer. They are trying their best to pay out as little money as possible on your claim. They will do just about anything to convince you to sign an agreement that will waive your right to future claims and damage recovery for a measly $500-$1000.

I know at the time it may seem like a lot of money and maybe you don't feel that bad, but if things change and your pain worsens, $500-$1000 will barely get you a MRI just to find out what's wrong. Invasive treatments could cost thousands of dollars and surgery tens of thousands.

As an aviator, it's a dream come true every time I fly my T28 - an incredible naval training aircraft that was used well into the 1980's.

Last September, at 85 years of age, retired Navy Pilot Tom Hoskins reunited with his plane! It was an incredible day that I'll never forget.

If you’re suffering from a stiff neck, there could be a couple different causes!

* Poor posture, especially if you find yourself at a computer all day! Try taking periodic breaks throughout your day and stretching your neck/back.
* Sleeping in an awkward or unnatural position. Make sure your pillow isn’t too flat or too fluffy, and do your best to sleep on your back or side, ensuring your neck and lumbar are properly supported.
* An untreated sport related or car accident neck injury can also be cause for neck stiffness. Always take necessary precautions when playing any sport, and if you think you might have injured your neck or back, be sure to have it checked out.

The good news is that chiropractic care is a great treatment option for neck pain and stiffness. It’s completely safe and noninvasive, and there are no adverse side effects. Leaving your neck pain untreated could cause your spine to become misaligned, resulting in even more muscle strain.
