Happy National Library Workers' Day! You all do so much for so many - you are greatly appreciated!
We LOVE that our SAPLF Literacy Caravan visits means so much to the children we see! Little Athena worked hard to complete all her Dragon Quest challenges, including getting her San Antonio Public Library card, bringing a friend to the library, reading five books, and participating in a library activity. We appreciate her perseverance and her teacher Audra Rodriguez' encouragement to turn in her completed Passport. At the end of this epic quest, Athena was rewarded with a prize from the treasure chest and when faced with the choice of a second prize or an extra book, Athena chose the book! (Whoohoo! )
Thanks to all our supporters and donors who help make a difference in the lives of San Antonio's children!
Be sure to catch SA Living with Shelly Miles today at 10:15 am to watch our Executive Director Amy Hone talk about our SAPLF Literacy Caravan and Born to Read Literacy Programs as well as our May 5 Literacy Luncheon!
