Anyone who suspects an elder or dependent adult is experiencing abuse is encouraged to contact the local authorities. Additionally, it is recommended to file a report with Adult Protective Services by calling 1-877-565-2020. Reports of suspected abuse may be filed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

and individuals with throughout County are in need of . In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Public Authority is recruiting caregivers to provide personal care and domestic services that will allow seniors and disabled adults to remain in their homes. To complete an application, visit sbcarejobs.com.
Caregivers are needed throughout the county.
• No experience necessary
• Flexible work schedule
• Access to training
Caregiver applicants will be screened and registered in the IHSS Public Authority Registry database and matched with a senior or disabled adult to deliver in-home support services. The types of services authorized through IHSS are housecleaning, meal preparation, laundry, grocery shopping, personal care services (such as bowel and bladder care, bathing, grooming and paramedical services), accompaniment to medical appointments, and protective supervision for the mentally impaired. Do you need an emergency back-up caregiver provider? The Back-Up Provider System (BUPS) is a statewide program that allows any eligible n-Home Supportive Services or Waiver Personal Care Services recipient to receive a back-up provider when the recipient has an urgent or immediate need related to personal care services that cannot be met by an existing provider or when the recipient is transitioning from out-of-home care to home-based care and does not have an identified provider. March is National Senior Nutrition Program Month! The Department of Aging and Adult Services-Public Guardian’s Nutrition Program assists older individuals in San Bernardino County to live independently, by promoting better health through improved nutrition, and reduced isolation through programs coordinated with nutrition-related supportive services. Congregate and home-delivered meals are served throughout the County to eligible individuals.
