I just wanted to remind everyone that our SB Cert General Meeting will be this Thursday, Aug 15, 2024 at 530 pm to 6 pm, which is our meet and greet and 6pm - 7pm is our training class.

Our speaker will be from the San Bernardino County Fire Department and will be discussing the Little Mountain Fire and Fire safety.

We meet at the San Bernardino Police Dept 2nd floor training room every 3rd Thursday.

Everyone is welcome to attend so come check us out. Don't wait till the next natural disaster to happen, learn how to be prepared.

Redlands Cert Team is offering their 20 Hr Basic Cert Class Sept 27-29, 2024. This class is very informative and is a great way to learn how to prepare for the next natural disaster.
You will need this class if you want to join SB City Cert.

We had a fun time interacting with the community and sharing Disaster Safety with everyone.

Do you have several weeks of food and water for your family including Fido and Fluffy? Do you have a emergency kit in your car? Do you know how to turn off the gas and utilities if you need to. Do you know how to use a fire extinguisher, do you know basic first aid? These are just a few things you will need to know in the event of a natural disaster and can learn at Cert.

Hi Everyone

We had a 4.2 earthquake today around 1055 am around Lytle Creek. Did you feel it? It was a minor one but this should be a wake up call to be sure you are prepared for the big one or the after shocks that could follow.

If you haven't already downloaded the MY SHAKE app on your phone, you should. It will give you a alert to drop and take cover in the event of a earthquake depending on how far the epicenter is, you can have a 15 second or longer warning which is enough time to take cover.

If you have been putting off joining SB Cert or want to learn how to protect you and your family in the event of a natural disaster come join us at our next Cert General Meeting Jan 18, 2024 at 530pm, which is our meet and greet and 6 -7 is our training class. I wanted to share the new CERT Basic Class schedule that the City of Redlands Fire Dept is putting on, for the year of 2024. This class is very informative and is needed to join any Cert Team. Even if you chose not to join the class is very beneficial. Are you prepared for the next natural disaster? Depending on how severe it will be, you will on your own for a week or more. Learn how to help your family, friends and neighbors when a natural disaster occurs. Happy Thanksgiving from the SB City Cert Team! SB Cert had their annual Thanksgiving Potluck on Nov 16, 2023. Everyone had a great time with good food and friendship.

San Bernardino City Cert was called out today to assist the Red Cross on setting up a temporary shelter at Arroyo Valley High School (Gymnasium) for those in need of assistance due to the evacuation of 48 homes on Evans street where the illegal fireworks and explosives were located. The evacuation has now been lifted.

Here is your chance to join Cert and help your community.
