Specialty Produce in Old Town, highlight of my cooking week!

Poached egg, early spring asparagus, pancetta, fleur de sol, sheep’s cheese, macadamias. There is a lot going on here. Each ingredient by itself is a star, but combined, makes a standout synergistic event. It’s the weekend, get in the kitchen!

We had a superb wine pairing dinner last week, incredible wines supplied by our hosts and local wine club. Menu flavors included Manchego, poached egg, pancetta, brick chicken, and a delectable bittersweet chocolate mousse’! , , , , , , ,

Prepping for a 20 guest dinner on Friday, got some great adds to the menu planned! Pomelo sorbet, petit fours taste bud kick starters!

I received this snow man 15 Yrs ago while deployed. He became known as Marilyn Manson Snowman. My niece Kacy made him for me. She was 5 at the time. We just made a Mickey Mouse pancake I felt needed to be shared with the snowman. And here’s Kacy now. She’s a badass.

Lucky enough to cook with dad this past week, grateful for any chance I get! Thanks dad!
