The Academic Fundraising Partnership (AFP) supports students of Ellen Browning Scripps (EBS) Elementary in Scripps Ranch, San Diego, CA.
The AFP provides funding for school programs & activities that would otherwise not be available to students.

After school Guitar Lessons : Group Guitar for Kids provides participants with an excellent introduction to the fundamentals of guitar playing. This class is designed to introduce the basics of good technique, chord structure and music reading through the playing of simple songs and the development of effective practice methods. This class is a great opportunity for those who would like to learn guitar in a group setting before making a commitment to private instructions

This is a great chance to give back, earn volunteer hours, and have some fun while doing it! Whether youโre setting up, running a game booth, or handing out candy, your support will make this event magical for the whole community.

We look forward to welcoming all EBS families to the Halloween Carnival on Friday, October 25, from 5:30-8:30pm. All children (and adults) are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes!

Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Bring your fully carved or decorated pumpkin to the Carnival if you would like to participate in this event. Everyone will get to vote for their favorite pumpkin! One winner per grade level.
Volunteers Needed
Various volunteer slots are still available. Dinner will be provided for all parent volunteers and staff listed in the signup genius supporting the Carnival!
Our third Student led Waddle Assemby today celebrating Miss Ellen's birthday. Students presented speeches that were picked by our Student Lighthouse Team. The Morning ๐ choir group dedicated a song to Miss Ellen on her birthday ๐ต Our Waddle assemblies are run by students as part of our program to develop leadership skills of our students ๐๐

๐ Birthday Book Club: Looking for a special way to celebrate your childโs birthday? How about donating a special book to the EBS library in your childโs name. For $25 we will have your child select a special book from our birthday collection. This book will have a dedication to your child inside the cover and your child will be the first person to check it out of the library. The teacher can read it to the class on your childโs birthday.
