🌟 October Impact Recap: A Month of Service, Learning, and Community 🌟

October was a busy and impactful month for AORN of San Diego County, and we couldn’t have done it without your support! Here’s what we accomplished together:

🍞 Feeding San Diego: We integrity-checked and sorted over 500 loaves of bread and 643 pounds of donated non-perishable goods as part of their reclamation project, helping pantries across the county.

🎒 Ladle Fellowship: We donated 55 backpacks and over 85 pounds of clothing, served meals, and provided medical care to those in need.

📖 Journal Club: We held an insightful discussion on improving communication within surgical teams, helping us grow as professionals and enhance patient care.

Our work doesn’t stop here! In November, we’ll be awarding the First Time CNOR scholarship, continuing our clothing drive for Ladle Fellowship, and hosting our BINGO fundraiser on November 9th to support professional development.

These true heroes play an essential role in protecting our patients, their families, and all healthcare staff from harmful pathogens, ensuring that every space is a safe and healing environment.

With all the challenges of the past few years, our EVS teams have remained resilient, adapting and continuing their critical work with dedication and heart.
