Congratulations to our newest Owner Trained graduates for successfully completing the Next Step Service Dogs program. We are proud to announce the formation of three Service Dog teams and one Facility Dog team. This achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of both the graduates and their canine partners. Each team has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to training. We commend these graduates for their efforts and look forward to seeing how they will make a positive impact in their communities.

Be prepared for the upcoming 2024 wildfire season! As we anticipate a hot and dry summer ahead of us, we wanted to provide you with valuable advice on how to prepare your pets for emergencies.
Pet Emergency Kit
Assemble a 3-day emergency kit for your pet that includes essential supplies such as food and water in airtight containers, bowls, first aid items, medications, blankets, leash, collar, and a carrier (for smaller pets).
Microchip Your Pet
Keep your pet’s microchip information up-to-date, and make sure they wear an ID tag with your contact details.
Identify Pet-Friendly Hotels
Research local shelters, hotels, and boarding facilities that can provide emergency accommodations for pets.
Prepare an Emergency Plan
Create an emergency plan that includes key details to keep your family and pets safe. Outline clear evacuation routes, provide emergency contact information for your veterinarian and local animal control, identify nearby pet-friendly hotels, and designate a safe meeting spot to reunite.
Practice the Emergency Plan
Practice the emergency plan with your family and pets to ensure that everyone, including your pets, knows what to do and feels comfortable with the procedures.
