NEW GRATEFUL PEOPLES PROJECT!

I've always been humbled by the simple yet very profound perspective I learn from students during Grateful Peoples school visits. Inspired by the experience of putting together the Coffee Table Book, I'm working on another "collection of gratitude" project, but this time the focus is on youth from all over the world!

The goal is to see how kids from different cultures and social histories express gratitude. I'm sending these Gratitude Cards to schools around the world where the students express what they are grateful for, and then the cards are sent back to me.

Over the past 4 years, has purchased 600 Grateful Peoples Journals to provide a copy for every veteran going through the program!

Practicing gratitude has been scientifically proven to help veterans suffering from PTSD, and it's an honor to be a small part of their mission.

We recently collaborated on a custom Gratitude Journal that will be used in the K9s program moving forward. Dalena Durst, a veteran and graduate of the program, created the artwork for the cover!

To start the current school year, we were able to donate and distribute 2,000 copies of the Grateful Peoples Gratitude Journal to schools across the U.S. and Canada! I can't believe Mrs. Simon has been using Grateful Peoples Journals in her classroom for 6 years! Teachers like her truly are the foundation of our work in schools. Since 2017, we've distributed 20,000 Gratitude Journals to students where 100% of their teachers report a significant difference in their behavior and attitude. Many teachers also mention that they notice less bullying after incorporating daily gratitude into the curriculum.

That's because practicing gratitude on a consistent basis builds real confidence... when kids are feeling good on the inside, they are less likely to act out in class or pick on a classmate.

I recently printed the 40,000th copy of the Grateful Peoples Gratitude Journal. The fresh inventory hit the warehouse this week and is ready to find a happy home. Thank you 🙏🏼

This year brings the total to 20,000 Grateful Peoples Journals donated and distributed to schools across the U.S. and Canada! It started in 2017 with 25 journals and 25 students at my old high school in NYC (shoutout to Mr. Lavy for being the first teacher to give the idea a home!). Very grateful for the ride and the ability to keep it going ❤️

It’s been buck wild since the segment aired. The response has been overwhelming and super humbling. Grateful Peoples works with a family business in Florida (shoutout Eurosport Daytona!!) that warehouses and ships all of the journals and books. They’ve been coming in early, staying late, and even have family volunteering their time to process the orders as quickly as possible ❤️ Thanks for the support and for covering the story!
