Traditional Arab street food made with California love!
Reem’s offers the warmth of Arab hospitality through the discovery of the aromas, flavors, and techniques of the modern Arab street corner bakery. We provide our take on classic Arab street foods, combining traditional flavors with fresh local ingredients, all made with love. Our vision is to nurture a strong vibrant community through the rich experience of Arab food and culture.
While some of our crew are at Outside Lands serving up mouth-watering lamb garlic fries this weekend, Reem’s Mission and Ferry Building are OPEN for all your Arab BREAD needs! Come visit us wherever in the city you are this weekend and let us dazzle you with Arab warmth and hospitality ✨
NEW on our Outside Lands Menu this year — Arab-Style Chips & Dip ✨ Our signature creamy hummus dressed up with green shatta and pickled red onion and served with our addictive house-made pita chips. Come visit our booth and power up with this scrumptious snack bowl.
Today we are standing in solidarity and gratitude for those in D.C. (including .assil!) who are standing up against the genocidal maniac Net@n¥ahu and the complicit US government officials who invited and welcomed him to this nation’s capitol. We reject the sick and destructive alliance between the US and the Zionist entity based in shared ideals of settler colonial plunder and say NOT IN OUR STREETS!
We know that the same military who have imprisoned, tortured, and murdered tens of thousands of Palestinians in Palestine over the past nine and half months have trained police forces to brutalize and murder people of color here in this country (in case anyone was still wondering why we don’t serve cops in uniform…). Sonya Massey should be alive. Hind Rajab should be alive. Countless others killed by state-sponsored political violence should still be alive. Today and every day we mourn the dead and fight like hell for the living. ❤️🔥
Have y’all checked out our expanded seating area at the ? For those who have time to sit and enjoy your man’oushe, we have a few more tables and chairs in our cozy little corner. Ideal for savoring a Pali Cali and people watching 😎 Come join us! Open today 10-7.
We’re getting ready for 2024!! This year we’re switching things up and going all in on indulgent festival food with an Arab twist with our Arab Party Fries: crispy fries coated with garlic, cilantro and house chile spice, topped with succulent slow-roasted lamb and smothered with house-made harissa yogurt and pomegranate barbecue sauce 🤤 Looking for something a little snackier? We’re also doing our take on chips and dip: our creamy hummus dressed up with all the fixins and served with our addictive house pita chips. And, of course, we’ll be serving up our cult classic chocolate chip halawa cookies to satisfy your sweet tooth 🍪
We’re stoked to be serving up our Arab street food with Cali love alongside a stellar lineup of some of the tastiest food makers in the Bay! Check out the other vendors who’re going to be there, along with the musicians we’re looking forward to (Elyanna 💕🇵🇸) 👆🏽
Who’s visiting us at Outside Lands this year? ✋🏽
🍉📣 New menu item!! 📣🍉 We’re taking it straight to Palestine with this one (literally). Introducing our summer seasonal watermelon salad, available starting today at Reem’s Mission.
Jibneh w bateekh, or cheese and watermelon, is a classic, refreshing combination enjoyed in the summer months across the Arab world. The briny saltiness of the cheese brings out the juicy sweetness of the watermelon in a way that makes your tastebuds sing. Our take on this summer staple features watermelon, feta, pomegranate vinaigrette, fresh za’atar, and nigella seeds 🍉🌿
But that’s not even the best part of this summer offering. We’re donating 10% of the proceeds from this salad to ’s Sowing Seeds of Hope: Rooftop and Home Gardens project in Northern Gaza. This beautiful initiative provides rooftop, home, and urban vegetable gardens through seedling and seed distribution for vulnerable and displaced families in Northern Gaza who are subsisting on 245 calories a day. We will not give up hope for Gaza. We will restore our land and life, one seedling at a time 🌱🍉🇵🇸
Hey community! 👋🏽 This week we’re officially starting summer at Reem’s ☀️ 🍉 We’re introducing delicious new summer seasonal menu items, new summer hours at Reem’s Mission, and fun new items in our Dukkaneh.
That’s right, that means El Cornishe is back, baby! 🌽 Come through and show us some summer love, and stay tuned for others seasonal highlights.
Summer Hours at Reem’s Mission:
Tues-Sat 11AM - 3PM & 5PM - 9PM
New producer alert! ✨ Our Nabusli kuffiyas are still out of stock due to global demand, but we found some beautiful kuffiyas handcrafted by refugees in Jordan that we’re excited to share from ! Sitti, meaning “my grandmother” in Arabic, is a woman-owned refugee-led social enterprise that aims to empower and restore hope and economic equity for refugee women in Jordan through the production of high-quality traditional goods. We’ve stocked our Dukkaneh with traditional black & white kuffiyas, Palestine colors kuffiyas, and a luxurious exfoliating nigella olive oil soap from Sitti.
Available now at Reem’s Mission and coming soon to Reem’s Ferry Building. Run, don’t walk, to get yours while you can!
P.S. Our take on our non-Palestinian/Arab siblings wearing the kuffiya (we get this question sometimes): YES! It is absolutely appropriate for you to wear a kuffiya as a symbol of your solidarity and joint struggle for Palestinian liberation. As long as you acknowledge and believe in what it stands for, we love seeing our comrades rocking the kuffiya 🇵🇸✌🏽✊🏽
Fab fan favorite LebNat is back just in time for this summer weather! Come enjoy a glass or a bottle for dinner on this final heat wave day… 🍾
LebNat is a pet nat (petillant naturel) from in one of the oldest winemaking regions of the world in Lebanon, featuring organically-farmed viognier and native merwah grapes fermented in the ancestral method. We love this wine for so many reasons — first, it’s delicious! Crisp and refreshing with bright acidity and ripe tropical fruits notes delivered on delicate bubbles, it’s the kind of wine you could really spend all day drinking 🍋🍍🍌 But, also, we love and everything they stand for! A true embodiment of warmth, love and hospitality of Lebanon, they are dedicated to uplifting their local communities and farmers, restoring the environment and wildlife on their land, and cultivating and uplifting new generations of winemakers and entrepreneurs to combat the brain drain that plagues our homelands.
Cheers 🥂🇱🇧🩷
Reem’s will be closed at both our Ferry Building and Mission locations tomorrow, July 4th. It’s is historically a slow day for restaurants, so we’ve decided to close and give our teams the day off.
On this occasion, we reflect not only on this country’s foundation rooted in genocide, ethnic cleansing, slavery, exploitation and segregation, but also its continuing legacy of imperialism and destruction abroad and criminalization of BIPOC at home. We are nine months into a genocide that has killed scores of thousands of Palestinians and decimated Gaza’s cultural and civil infrastructure and ecology. A genocide we as US taxpayers are funding despite the majority of us demanding a ceasefire. Nine months — the time it takes to grow and birth human life — of depraved, expansive, and absolutely preventable death.
But we also take this occasion to reflect on the movements and communities that continue to grow and strengthen in their commitment to justice. The creative and generative ways people are refusing to accept the status quo. The people who keep us whole and grounded. Our ability to be held in all our feelings of anger, grief, pain, and joy. Thank you, community, for grounding us and giving us hope ❤️
In that spirit of hope and endurance, sharing this post from with 10 actionable ideas for radically imagining possible futures in a time of destructive imperial collapse. Enjoy, and see you all soon 😘
Attention office workers! Are you tired of the same old office catering? Reem’s is now available on ! Bring the warmth of Reem’s to your office with our breads and spreads, signature flatbread wrap bites, crunchy fattoush salad, and of course our delicious desserts for a meal everyone will adore!
We are still swooning over last week’s Keep It Zesty Cookbook Event with our brother from another mother of ! This vibrant spread was a sliver of the resplendent recipes and stories of Lebanese hospitality that Chef Edy writes about in his cookbook.
In case you missed the event, you can still purchase “Keep It Zesty” from our Dukkaneh. This is definitely one you should add to your collection!
Falafel salad with a 6-minute egg — that’s what we call a power lunch! Whether you’re getting gains or looking for a hearty vegetarian option, our falafel salad does not disappoint. Enjoy at Reem’s Mission, or get it delivered!
Dukkaneh feature ✨ If you’re searching for the best Shawarma in the Bay, it’s no doubt in Oakland (and Santa Clara for our South Bay/Peninisula folks!). But did you know Shawarmaji also produces and sells their signature spice blends and other Arab pantry goods? In our Dukkaneh we carry their spice set with chicken spice, lamb spice, falafel spice and Aleppo salt, as well as their samneh, aromatic clarified butter, for those adventurous enough to try their hand at Arab cooking at home. Shawarmaji toasts, grinds, and blends all their spices in-house, so they’re as fresh and flavorful as can be.
Shawarmaji is a Jordanian family-owned and family-run business, a project by and his brother Feras. Their pantry collection is born out of love and honor for their grandmother Nahla, whose kitchen was always full of life and appetizing smells. ❤️🇵🇸🇯🇴
Fun fact: Chef Mohammad Abutaha is a Reem’s alum from our Ferry Building farmers market and Fruitvale restaurant days, and he’s married to our co-founder Zaynah! 🙃
Have you tried our Some Like It Harra? This dish takes your mezze spread to the next level! A jammy six-minute egg nestled in a bed of labneh drizzled with our house morita chile crunch and served with khobz arabi fresh out of the oven … 🤤 Come enjoy it for lunch or dinner at Reem’s Mission!
Friday night date night! Bring your habibi to Reem’s Mission for a cozy meal tonight and check out our fabulous selection of wines from the Arab world. Cremisan winery in Bethlehem was founded in 1855 by Salesian monks and was the first winery in the region to use indigenous Palestinian grapes. Baladi is one of our house favorites, featuring 100% baladi aswad Palestinian native grapes with tasting notes of stewed raspberry with plum, cranberry, and hints of forest floor on the nose and plum, blackberry, stewed strawberry, and red apple skins on the palate. Pairs beautifully with our La Gringa slow-braised lamb wrap and our muhammmara!

Our chocolate chips cookies get a lot of hype since they were ranked the best in the Bay by , but have you tried our other sweets? This is our nammoura rose pistachio semolina cake, and it’s been a Reem’s staple since we opened our first brick & mortar bakery in the Fruitvale.
