SUMMER CAMP: Summer camp at the museum is quickly approaching! The Museum of Seminole County History is offering Adventures in Boardgaming— a summer camp experience exploring the evolution of games for children ages 8-16 in July.

The first week, July 9-12, will be the Kids Camp for children ages 8-12 exploring games from ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia to the modern day and focuses on abstract skill games, card games, and simple role-playing games.

The second week, July 16-19, will be the first ever Teen Camp for children ages 12-16 that will dive into trading card games, Eurogames, and more advanced role-playing games.

Registration is now open for summer camp at the museum and more information is available by visiting recreation.seminolecountyfl.gov.

HISTORICAL DISASTERS: A unique exhibit is coming to the Museum of Seminole County History!

Attendees of this seasonal exhibit will get to learn about unique events such as the Toad Invasion of 1982 and more that took place across Central Florida and how our Office of Emergency Management responds when disasters strike.

🆘When: June 1- November 24
🆘Cost:
$3 for adults
$1 for students, seniors, and military plus tax
Free admission for children under 4 years old

Interested visitors can stop by and explore the exhibit during normal business hours, Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

NEW EXHIBIT: We may not often pair the swamps of rural Central Florida with the aristocracy of the Old World, but members of the nobility in Europe were drawn here in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

The trappings of elite society tugged at the fashions and infatuations of Central Floridians throughout the Victorian and Gilded ages. Discover these high-class courtly connections at the Museum from March to May.
