St. Gregory Academy Fundraising

All, we would like to raise funds to open our St. Gregory Academy next year. In order to do that, we need to raise $125k now so we can get the engineering and permitting done which will take few months. If we raise this amount, we can celebrate the “Laying of the Foundation “ with HEM Youssef on June 2nd.

The next phase will be to raise the remaining $125k before March 2025, so we can open in July/August 2025.

If you would like to take the blessing of donating towards this initiative, please use the below link:

You can also make checks payable to “St. Athanasius Church” and place “St. Gregory Academy “ in the memo.

Please continue to pray for this project as this will impact many families in our community.

God bless.

Thank you to everyone that came today to celebrate Fr. Maurice’s 4 year ordination anniversary. We are so blessed to have him as the father of our church. May God grant him many more years and grant us many more beautiful memories together.

We were also blessed to have His Grace Bishop Basil at our church this weekend. We celebrated the veneration of St Maurice and ordained a new reader and psalmist.

St. Athanasius book club met this week and started a new book called "Letters to Saint Lydia" by Melinda Johnson.

Our next meeting will be on Thursday, February 11th, at 9pm on zoom. Read below for a short synopsis on our current book selection.

"A Novel, by Melinda Johnson about a young woman named Lydia whose life is turning upside down. Her family has converted to Orthodox Christianity without her, she's just about to leave home for college, one of her friends is pregnant, and soon she'll be facing all the trials and temptations encountered by every young adult who is on her own for the first time. Lydia needs a friend badly and she finds one in the most unexpected place: an icon of St. Lydia. Young Lydia pours out her troubles in letters to St. Lydia, who (invisibly to Lydia) answers, guiding her through her time of troubles with deep love and compassion."
