Yesterday the SAC VRC and Veterans Student Association were joined by ASG and other SAC students for Veterans Dodgeball! Thank you, everyone, for participating.

The SAC VRC was on the campus of Cal Poly Pomona on Friday for a campus tour provided by the CPP Veterans Resource Center. Thank you! While touring the campus, we ran into the 2023 SAC Veteran of the Year and now Bronco, Xavier Navarro. He was extremely happy with his decision to transfer to CPP and it shows. He is thriving like a SAC student veteran should.

The SAC VRC attended the Veterans Recreation and Resource Expo at Coastline College. US Vets did a great job putting this together and thanks to the Coastline VRC for hosting!

One of our student veterans, Jessica Velez, spoke at the American Legion, Post 291 on Saturday about her journey as a women Marine, veteran and mother. The SAC VRC is very proud of Jessica, and all our women veteran

We still have some spots left in the veterans only cohort. You can also attend as a guest student if you are at another local college.

We are ecstatic to unveil a new partnership this spring 2024.

Guitars 4 Veterans will be back at the SAC VRC in the spring. We are taking a limited number of student veterans so sign up ASAP. You will get a practice guitar on loan and after you complete 10 lessons you will get your own acoustic guitar.

This morning the SAC VRC delivered toys to the children of the SAC Child Development Center. We managed to raise 126 toys donated by our SAC veterans, their families and our supporters. Thank you, everyone but most of all, thank you Santa Ana College Veterans.

It's official! Student Army veteran Joseph Jimenez stands next to the winning branch box for the US Army. Three time defending champs! It is all in good fun. Together, the VRC raised 126 total toys for our Child Development Center. We will drop them off tomorrow.

With one more day remaining in our toy drive for the SAC Child Development Center, the Army is in the lead.

All student veterans are welcomed.

The SAC VRC would like to thank the Santa Ana Police Department for hosting our SAC vets for an Expo and tour of the station last Friday, December 1. It was a spectacular afternoon and our veterans really appreciated the officers, who were veterans themselves, taking the time to speak with them.

They have provided extensive programming, offering support to both their student veterans and the wider community. Additionally, they have built relationships with 4-year schools and continue demonstrating dedication to providing creative and comprehensive support for their veteran and military-connected students,” says Emma Czajka, PAVE Program Coordinator.

Our PAVE team was recognized as the featured PAVE campus of the month for November. We are happy to have a team of PAVE Peer Advisors to assist our student veterans. Pictured our two of our Advisors with our Student Services Coordinator.

The SAC VRC want to congratulate our first Guitars 4 Veterans cohort. We graduated six veterans and student veterans and they received their guitars for completing ten weeks of lessons. We will be hosting another cohort in the spring.

On Friday, November 17, the SAC VRC joined 15 other community college campuses for a tour of the lovely UCLA campus that was provided by the UCLA Veterans Resource Center. We want to thank Kiran Mistry and the team over there for putting this on for our student veterans. They are a valuable friend to the Santa Ana College Santa Ana College - Veterans Resource Center

It is that time of the year again! We are having our toy drive for the Child Development Center on campus. Bring an unwrapped toy and place in your branch. Let's see who brings in the most toys this year. The Army has brought in the most toys two years in a row!

We know that during finals week you will encounter added streess. Come to the VRC and use art as an outlet. We will have an art instructor leading a creative activity.

Congratulations to our second Guitars 4 Veterans graduate. We have been having Guitars 4 Veterans give our student veterans and veterans in our community lessons at our VRC every week.

Yesterday afternoon, some of our student veterans visited American Legion post 132. Their Historian, Frank Cook, gave us a tour of their fabulous museum. We were also welcomed by the other Legionnaires. Thank you for the hospitality, Post 132.
