Cornish in podcasting! KUOW radio's "Let the Kids Dance" is a fantastic 7-episode series covering the history of Seattle's controversial and misguided "Teen Dance Ordinaance" Law which cut off access to live music for under-21 audiences for over a decade. The series chronicles the civic activism of Seattle's youthful creative community, culminating in the overturning of the law in 2002.
One of the strongest voices for change, who is prominently featured in the series, is Theater alum Greg Bennick, singer for the hardcore band Trial, author, juggler and motivational speaker, who co-wrote the law that replaced the TDO.
Greg is a sterling example of the Cornish mission to facilitate the development of the voices of "artists, citizens and innovators."

Congratulations to Musical Theater grad Alexander Kilian, who is earning praise for his performance as Moritz in the 5th Avenue Theatre's current production of SPRING AWAKENING!
Here is what the Seattle TIMES has to say about Alex:
"As the overwhelmed, undersupported and ill-fated student Moritz, Alexander Kilian delivers a performance of startling clarity and empathy — and his articulation took away any suspicion that the show’s audibility problem lay entirely with the sound system. It’s worth seeing the show for his performance alone."
